EFL Statement: Leicester City
The EFL notes the decision of the independent Appeal Board in respect of Leicester City’s appeal regarding the Premier League’s jurisdiction over the Club’s alleged breach of its Profitability and Sustainability Rules.
We are currently reviewing the decision in full and will reserve any further substantive comment until any possible appeal process initiated by the Premier League has concluded, and or any action is taken by the EFL.
We share the frustrations of the Premier League. It cannot be right that Clubs potentially escape the scrutiny of the agreed rules and sanctions due to movement across the divisions.
Cost control rules have been agreed by the member clubs of the Premier League and EFL, and it is incumbent on the Leagues to apply the rules as intended to uphold the integrity of competitions, with Clubs required to act in utmost good faith towards one another for the benefit of all Clubs and their supporters.

Can’t we just sell Goodison Park to Eagle Football for the mega sought after prime real estate that it is?
What is the situation with having to provide accounts up to 31st December this year for those potentially due a PSR breach?
If Leicester have submitted their latest accounts then there would be a good idea whether they will breach (expect lower threshold due to 1 season in Championship). Would they not be required to submit accounts by end of this calendar year so they can still be charged if they have breached?
I know it was Forest's 2nd season back up, but does this make a difference?
Expect we will still likely have to submit accounts again by the 31st December.
Unless things have completely changed after they changed them last year?

They have no interest in competitiveness
They want to limit competition
Anyone thinking city's crimes will be met with a punishment is kidding themselves aswell. Don't forget they originally wanted a 10 point deduction for the smallest infraction of any of the clubs under investigation. What a complete farce
TBF I don't think that's the case with the EFL.
