6 + 2 Point Deductions


Think you'll probably see a backlash from The PL in relation to Everton-Villa, Villa-Chelsea, Forest-Newcastle trading here.

Everton and Villa traded Iroegbunam & Dobbin
Chelsea & Villa traded Maatsen, Kellyman
Forest & Newcastle, Vlachodimos & Anderson

I think all of these will allow for these sides to sail under FFP, i think all of the deals were done on 30 June to ensure all sides complied with the FFP Regs.
 
Last PSR breach. Ornstein tweeted out on the Sunday 8PM that we had breached, before it was confirmed Monday morning.

No one breached? Or been told to save the “exclusive” for closer to official announcement?

The time for the backlash would have been when the PL were signing off on these transfers.

It's not bending the rules though. Swap deals were always possible, they just very rarely happenned.

And given some of the astronomical transfer fees paid in recent years for average players, putting a c.10m value on a home grown academy player is not that unreasonable at all.

I think these type of deals will become more common and I don't see an issue. It's 2 unconnected clubs doing deals in their own interest - that's business.
