When even rs think it's excessive you know the PL have taken the absolute mick here. Footy is dead anyway but if City and Chelsea aren't hammered ten fold compared to us then we may as well all just give up. City have empty seats for champions league games even in the latter stages, how can they justify their outlay?! That's even without delving into the blag firms that sponsor them. Chelsea did it for years before them.

We broke the rules, I think we all acknowledge that but where is the consistency? VAR, zero consistency, Sky/BT games zero consistency the whole game is corrupt from top to bottom. It's not even sly anymore, it's there for everyone to see and hardly anyone is challenging it from a top level. World Cups in Qatar? One on the horizon in Saudi Arabia? Footy is being run the same way the tory government are running the country. Line the pockets of the top 5% of figures and clubs. Keep sponsors happy etc.

I can't wait for us to stay up and break everyone else's hearts.
 
I can't believe the media haven't looked at how "independent" this independent review pannel are.

Chaired by Leeds United's lawyer ffs. Advised by the Premier league over punishment before they've even reviewed the case. It's the most kangaroo of courts and they've just gone ahead with it and called it "independent". I hope we rip it to shreds in the appeal.

3 points max or a fine but 10 points when administration is only 9 points is unbelievable!

19 mil total over 3 years when you lose money over covid, our main sponsor USM getting sanctioned a player getting suspended and arrested and building a new stadium.

It’s pure BS the points deduction all while working with the PL over the past couple of years, we wasn’t trying to hide anything.

Then the ones who run our club deserve to be punished and not the club or the fans, massive fine, barred from ever, running/ owning a football club again. Remember this owner passed a good and proper test to own Everton 7 or so years ago, set by the PL.

And this is what we have to argue. If Portsmouth got deducted 9 points for administration, which in my eyes is worse as this effects employees and suppliers in the local region from getting paid.

Then the Premier League needs to get its rules for this type of breach into its charter instead of making it up on the fly.

That’s the problem Ive heard that they only came up with this new breach in August or something whilst our investigation was ongoing!

He has been a lawyer for numerous clubs over the years and his stint for Leeds was over 15 years ago.

The Premier League is a glorified boys club, going into the appeal by bringing the integrity of people on its panel is not going to go down well.

Plus, we would have known in advance of who the panel would have been and if we had any concerns to have raised them before it started.

And City`s owners passed the FA`s fit and proper owner test too, and they have 115 charges for braking the same rules over a spell of 10 years.
I hope this is`nt another effort like their crackdown on diving where Niasse got a retrospective ban on week one, and then I can`t remember anyone else getting one, though diving hasn`t stopped.

Think there was one other player from a different club a bit later on, can't for yhe life of me remember who.

Speak for yourself there chieftain !

No sanctions on USM / the Siggurdsson fiasco being accounted for = no break of the rules.

We've paid our dues in the transfer market making profits on Richarlison, Gordon, Digne, Gana etc. yet have still been done up like kippers.
