Even though we put ourselves in this position, with our appalling business model. We. Have tried to work with the Premier League to get our house in order over the past couple of years. The swingeing penalty inflicted on us by the Premier League should serve as a salutary lesson to clubs who find themselves skating on thin ice in coming seasons. Don't work with the Premier League, they will encourage you to toe the line and work with them and then, because you are not one of the chosen 6, they will see an easy target and come down on you hard.

More and more over the past couple of seasons I have come to think that the European Super League may well be a good thing. It would give the premier league a good kick in the plums and leave the English clubs, with the exception of the sky 6, a chance to get back to a properly competitive league which is affordable for working people. I accept that the super star players would not want to play in a league like that, but, I really don't care any more, TV companies control the game and make sure the Premier League do exactly what they want them to do.

I'm all for the ESL provided those teams competing are kicked out of their domestic league.
Unfortunately that wasn't the plan. They were going to form the ESL, make billions, and still compete in the PL using that enormous influx of money to further skew the competition in their favor.
Slap on the wrist fine because "you can't punish the fans".

Even if we are out of the relegation zone by Xmas and all the angst dissipates we cant let this go, the PL are hoping time, apathy and inertia are their friends here. we need to permanently make a show of them.
