6 + 2 Point Deductions

….be interested in Sky’s coverage today. More specifically, the extent they report the protests, whether they ‘can’ their own crowd noise, whether they cut out shots of banners etc.

We’ll know the extent they’re in cahoots with the PL in falsely protecting their product.

The organised protest group need to monitor this.
Given it's likely to be bigger than literally any other protest that's ever been held by Everton fans, it'll be a travesty if Sky does all it can to downplay it ignore it.

Just desperate for Everton themselves not to ruin it by banning / having removed flags that are criticising the league.

I think they’ll do their best to not show it. I got rid of Sky years ago because of their bias towards the top 6.

Be a good day when they lose the TV rights.

Not sure if posted yet, not seen it, but there is a piece in the Telegraph today that is distinctly uncomplimentary.

Thrust is everton broke the rules, PL have been very lenient in allowing reduction in terms of by how much, the panel is respectable and independent, and you don't need to like the rules but you need to follow them.

Also highlights that opposition MPs jumping on the bandwagon is not a good look for them - suspect this may be the real angle.

I think Neville will reference it in comms.

I don’t subscribe to that. The Merseyside Derby is a TV draw, they tried pretending that the RS V Utd was a Derby and that has gone by the wayside, our history puts us in a different league, and our ground will be part of the European Championships. Even if Masters and Co were rabid RS there is no agenda against us, other than an easy win against a club that worked with the PL and admitted what they did, so it could be used to try an stop a governmental body being put in place…that’s the real purpose…..

Great article but sadly the people that the premier league really value (foreign kopite/United consumers who will buy and watch anything) couldn’t care less about this. Those fans don’t want competition, they want to turn in every week and watch the team in red that they have a replica shirt of thrash some other team they probably don’t even know about 8-0 so they can feel better about life on the internet and buy some more merchandise and click on some more news stories and YouTube videos, oh look here’s another one of all of Darwin Nunez’s goals this season after 7 games.

Fans of clubs like Everton Palace Fulham Villa etc. are a complete irrelevance to the PL.

I wish the super league would just happen now, it should never have been stopped, we could have rid ourselves of the rotting corpse of the scab six for ever and got back to some real football, all we’ve done is delayed it to a point where they’ll find a Frankenstein’s monster way to attach it to the current pyramid so they can have everything and all the other clubs can have nothing.

I've read that the only teams to win anything who aren't in the big six since the Premier league was started was

Leicester.. Relegated
Blackburn.. Relegated
Wigan.. Relegated
Portsmouth..relegated
Birmingham.. Relegated
Villa..relegated albeit come up

Everton.. Trying to relegate

Don’t forget Swansea, they were the model to follow for all clubs at one point…

Tory paper takes the Tory angle.

Protect the vested interest at all costs.

I'm up at 5:30am to watch the game tomorrow morning over here and I am absolutely certain that the protest will be ignored as much as practically possible and I'll bet my bottom dollar that here have been meetings galore to ensure this happens. One of the most intriguing parts of tomorrow's game for me. Hope it only has a positive effect on the team and they don't lose their way with all that's going on. To everyone going to the match - give it heaps tomorrow and get the message heard.
