6 + 2 Point Deductions

We all know that PL is corrupt, yes you broke the rules but the rules stink. My team Wolves had to sell over £120m and reduce the wage bill in the summer dramatically.

They don't want us to usurp the so-called Super League Big 6 traitors.

PS Don't start me on VAR / Penalties etc

Good Luck today, the premier league is corrupt as F###!

Happened with Southampton ten years ago, relied on youth, bringing through the ranks, buying cheap prospects from abroad and they had a young Pochetino as their manager/ coach. Big boys came calling for their players and then manager. They are now in the Championship. Got that off a brilliant article off Martin Samuel, makes you think, the full article is on the People's Forum. The big boys and their Lawyers run the Premier league, courtesy of Richard Masters.

It's not even that we broke the rules.. it's 10 points for what in all fairness is a minor breach 19.5 million over 3 years.. during a global pandemic, the biggest war in Europe since WW2 all while building a half billion pound stadium..
We broke the rules so be it, either suspend the points deduction or make it a financial penalty. 6.5 million a year losses and they deduct 10 points.

….be interested in Sky’s coverage today. More specifically, the extent they report the protests, whether they ‘can’ their own crowd noise, whether they cut out shots of banners etc.

We’ll know the extent they’re in cahoots with the PL in falsely protecting their product.

The organised protest group need to monitor this.
My biggest worry is that our legitimate grievances boil over and the narrative starts to shift away from this witch hunt to how bad and uncouth Evertonians are.
We do not need to be swearing in our chants against this injustice as that just gives the media the opportunity to censor our protests. Media outlets will steer clear of interviewing aggrieved fans because they fear f-bombs in live broadcasts or recorded interviews.
The supporters groups have done a great job with the banners and protests so far but the match today could lead to the media(and general public) switching sides if we don’t box clever in our indignation.

They've already said they are going to do this, they done it yesterday with the plane over the Etihad stadium. We are attacking the Premier league and that is Sky tv's biggest cash Cow. Maybe we should have targeted Richard Masters some more, he's the main man there he is definitely tainted with the big 6 clubs, they want a closed shop and he has led this.

Not sure that means a great deal Dave.

United are in 8th place. They've not played the top two yet. We're 6 games away from the half way point.

We've played three of the top five. Two of them being away.
My point is that Luton are not the relegation fodder many have been claiming they are. They are getting better and better.

They have a 5 point gap on us and we'll struggle to claw it back.

One of the things I’ve noticed over the last week is that we need to have a more coherent and consistent message when facing the media as I get annoyed when supporters say “we know we are guilty”.

The club are unable to say anything due to the appeal process but could the club utilise the FAB to get our “message”out with the assistance of the club’s PR agency?

I think there are 5/6 key messages to reiterate at all times.
1. Evertonians have protested for many seasons about the governance and performance of our Board of Directors.
2. It is extremely disappointing but no surprise to supporters that the dysfunctional previous regime has been found guilty of a relatively minor technical accounting breach over 3 years.
3. The punishment meted out for that technical breach(and refusal to accept legitimate mitigations) is completely inappropriate and goes far beyond that which would be given to a club that goes into administration or more egregious breaches that happened before the PSR was introduced.
4. The process has not been impartial and the make up of the Commission and leaking of preferred sanctions in advance of the decision is prejudicial to Everton.
The punishment formula used by the commission has not been adopted into the PL rule book so how can it be used against one of the members of the PL.
5. A financial sanction for a financial misdemeanour is the only appropriate punishment in Everton’s case and avoids punishing supporters for something completely out of their control.

It’s not perfect but we have to find a way to get a consistent message out there at all times.

….at the moment we need to accumulate 6 more points than them before the end of the season. It could be a massive game for us at their place, a defeat could leave us with a mountain to climb.

Luton looked decent at home to the Reds. Hopefully an additional team or two drop into the scrap.

I am a glass half empty kind of guy but Take a look at the stats from their game yesterday. 3 shots on target to the 8 from Palace. I don’t think Luton have a streak of results in them that will take them away from us. Burnley are my main concern as they will take a punt in Jan transfer window if they have a chance

Anyone could see they'd made progress prior to yesterday's win.

People have been too blasé about the task at hand.

It's enormous.

Hope they're not budgeting on a compensation payment towards their kitty. Their lawyers will tell them otherwise.

Yes, but they don't concede as much as others at the bottom - apart from us.

They'll always be in games and confidence and momentum are massive factors in this league. They know the formula now: try and grab a draw away from home and put away the middling / relegation clubs at home.

Burnley and Sheff Utd btw are down. They underlined that yesterday. If they couldn't grab even a point in their decent fixtures after the boost the PL gave them they're done for.
