6 + 2 Point Deductions

One of the things I’ve noticed over the last week is that we need to have a more coherent and consistent message when facing the media as I get annoyed when supporters say “we know we are guilty”.

The club are unable to say anything due to the appeal process but could the club utilise the FAB to get our “message”out with the assistance of the club’s PR agency?

I think there are 5/6 key messages to reiterate at all times.
1. Evertonians have protested for many seasons about the governance and performance of our Board of Directors.
2. It is extremely disappointing but no surprise to supporters that the dysfunctional previous regime has been found guilty of a relatively minor technical accounting breach over 3 years.
3. The punishment meted out for that technical breach(and refusal to accept legitimate mitigations) is completely inappropriate and goes far beyond that which would be given to a club that goes into administration or more egregious breaches that happened before the PSR was introduced.
4. The process has not been impartial and the make up of the Commission and leaking of preferred sanctions in advance of the decision is prejudicial to Everton.
The punishment formula used by the commission has not been adopted into the PL rule book so how can it be used against one of the members of the PL.
5. A financial sanction for a financial misdemeanour is the only appropriate punishment in Everton’s case and avoids punishing supporters for something completely out of their control.

It’s not perfect but we have to find a way to get a consistent message out there at all times.
The prem said they did not want to punish supporters of the snidey six, yet they punish us, hypocrites .

I wish the super league would just happen now, it should never have been stopped, we could have rid ourselves of the rotting corpse of the scab six for ever and got back to some real football, all we’ve done is delayed it to a point where they’ll find a Frankenstein’s monster way to attach it to the current pyramid so they can have everything and all the other clubs can have nothing.
This for me.

Replace them with 6 clubs from the championship. Would be a much better product. Less money sure, but more real.

Sadly, I fear things are too far gone for it to ever happen. The above idea would just get picked apart by the Euro scab six.

Club Banner Info

Fans wishing to display banners inside the ground must ensure they come with a fire safety certificate, do not make political statements and do not include threatening or profane language.

We ask that any supporters planning on engaging in protest activity do so in an appropriate way.

Full details of the Club’s policy on banners - and the supporter matchday code of conduct – is available by clicking here.

So if you have a banner, dont forget to write “fire safety certificate” on a piece of paper or post-it note and keep it to show the stewards. They didnt stuljpulate the certificate will be checked for validity by qualified fire safety staff.

You can state its not political, which most of them will not be - political is subjective anyway, but state its not.

Profanity - again subjective, you can say its not. Unless they can again validate that.

Threatening - again most wont be, but a threat is again on a subjective scale. Say its not, and ask for their formal qualification to make an opinion, and if they have one, they will need to show it.

I guess they had to at least get it down “on paper”, but secretly they are hoping we ignore it - its hidden away a little within the usual matchday blurb. If they really wanted to highlight it, it would be all over the club site.

I indicated a few days ago that the people that might destroy this whole thing would be Everton. It would not surprise me one but if they didn't allow the banners or had them removed immediately.

I’m not remotely worried about going down, we where 5 point behind Burnley with what 5 games to go?

We got 26 games to over turn 5 points 3 if we win today

I appreciate his opinion - even if I disagree with him about this and plenty of other things he’s said.

I appreciate a plurality of thought, and he’s not afraid to disagree with the majority view. I always see where he’s coming from, even when I don’t share the same perspective.
