6 + 2 Point Deductions

Sky's specially hand picked (by the premier league bosses) panel for todays game...

I can't make my mind up if this 10 points is as some say because they want Everton down, or if it is truly drawing a line in the sand to decimate Man City, Chelsea and others. Both scenarios seem dubious to me to be honest.
So why?
1 charge against us because we slightly overspent with massive mitigating circumstances draws 10 points, so what will City's 115 charges draw?
I truly believe it's either a knee jerk that will be rejected on appeal, or a carefully planned gamble to send out a huge warning shot to others.
Either way I'm certain the appeal will be successful with a reduction of the punishment.
I just can't see how they can leave it like it is. It is so far over the top it just can't stand up to scrutiny.
Didn't the report say this was basically a one off and shouldn't be used as precedent in any future hearing? Meaning they are doing it specifically because it's us?

Fair point.

I still think it would be less disastrous than the stadium going tits up. Obviously the stadium is not gonna propel us into the echelons immediately, but it's a step in the right direction and will make us organically richer than we currently are.

My fears aren't based on us having to stay at Goodison, they're based on us investing £100's of millions on a stadium we can't use. If we'd not started this project, and it was now we were making the decision to start building, then I'd believe it to be an insane decision.
The stadium's near killed us. No way we end up in this mess now if it hadn't been built.

That said, with better day to day decision making we'd still be ok even with the stadium costs.

Overall, it was there right decision to build. Whether Everton end up as tenants is another matter.

My biggest worry is that our legitimate grievances boil over and the narrative starts to shift away from this witch hunt to how bad and uncouth Evertonians are.
We do not need to be swearing in our chants against this injustice as that just gives the media the opportunity to censor our protests. Media outlets will steer clear of interviewing aggrieved fans because they fear f-bombs in live broadcasts or recorded interviews.
The supporters groups have done a great job with the banners and protests so far but the match today could lead to the media(and general public) switching sides if we don’t box clever in our indignation.

I think maybe we should have concentrated more of the rules and regulations that made the top six almost untouchable, rules and regulations, profit and sustainability that we amongst others apparently voted for. Then same rules have killed competition stone dead the very thing that made the Premier league what it was.

It wont matter a jot for those protests today.

PL anthem booed, round of applause for Venables. More protests throughout the game.

Rinse and repeat for the following 25 games.

Think Sky always go to a commercial during PL anthem in any case.

Sustained booing at 10 minute mark would be more effective
