6 + 2 Point Deductions

We should be far more annoyed at the owners and the board than the Premier League. We broke the rules and then publicly denied it. Only to admit we had broken the rules. That probably played a huge part in how severe the punishment is. If we had admitted we had broke the rules straightaway we would almost certainly have been relegated last season.

I think we will almost certainly be okay points-wise this season but the worry is getting sued by the likes of Leeds, Leicester, and Burnley. Those costs could finish off.
I mean we’ve done nothing but come at the owners and the board for years.

Did you miss the protests?
The board not attending fixtures for about 18 months?
The majority shareholder practically being chased out?

You should know this, blue.

For me we can blame the Premier League all we want, but when the dust settles, the fingers should be pointed squarely at those at the club who have allowed this to happen. The club can argue all it likes about whether its 19.5m or 9.5m, but either way its a breach of the rules they agreed too.

For years we have heard about how Kenwright was one of the key figures in the Premier League circle. Him and the rest of the board knew what we were doing when they agreed to the rules.

The most frustrating thing is that of all those, only Moshiri is still left around, when he turns up.

It's criminal that the rest of the board walked away with huge payoffs, when they should have been sacked for what has happened.

Yeah, they've been misleading us all along. Anger over the severity of the punishment is totally right, but shouldn't be the same as absolving the club of blame. Looking at the judgement those running the club have been negligent and dishonest, they are a disgrace.
And the rest of the country were criticising us for having the temerity of trying to get rid of the shower that caused it.

PL badges should be removed from the players shirts immediately

We literally admit guilt, but to a lesser value than the £19million. The only thing to appeal is the punishment, which does appear astronomical.

Lots of talk about the PL doing this to avoid outside regulation. If they give 10 points for £19mill overspend and bugger all for a decade long spate of deliberate fraudulence, the regulators will be all over them.

If the regulator is Govt. led, or even slightly influenced by, then they will do all they can to not upset the Middle Eastern owners. We've already seen that in the Newcastle case, where its pretty much nailed on that was Govt. led in order for them to plow in the 20bn to NE industry (it happened a fortnight after the ratification of ownership). Without that money, they simply couldn't afford the money they had promised for the towns fund.

Sadly we can't do anything like that. We are contractually obliged. Same with interviews etc. PL would sue us. They have the knives out for us now so as much as we may want to we have to do the contractual bare minimum. Work to rule essentially.
Punishments are all made up anyways. They can't take away any more points so take the fine or whatever else they impose and drag their name through the mud while doing.

The fans already protested the board.

This is about the arbitrary rules imposed by a corrupted organisation.
