With the nouse the guy has I'd stick him up front.Andy Burnham our new chairman?I’m not joking either
Exactly. Lazy responses accusing him of prioritising this over schools, roads etc. It’s a 2 page letter. He has made it quite clear he is acting as a human being, not a politician. Could be playing golf, or scrolling Instagram, but has chosen instead to highlight the growing inconsistencies in their stories.Imagine if Burnham was either Mayor of Liverpool or Chairman of Everton.
He’s holding the Premier League to account in his spare time, FFS.
They ignored their suggestions then did what they recommended anyway*The problem with Burnham”s letter is its central point. That is that the premier league influenced the commissions decision. The problem being that the commission specifically said that they ignored the suggestions by the premier league.
Thats going to take some getting round in the appeal.
But the penalty of -10 points is virtually what the PL recommended. So we are in the same place ultimately whether they say they ignored it or not.The problem with Burnham”s letter is its central point. Not really mate. It highlights that the PL should not have even been trying to influence an active independent ongoing commission investigation in the first place. Add to the fact that the penalty ended up being almost exactly what they wanted regardless of them saying they ignored it and it brings into question the legitimacy of the entire process. This is why Andy regularly refers to an abuse of power because that is exactly what happened. It’s a bit weird that both sides were permitted to suggest a punishment, then you’d expect something in the middle to be the result. But the penalty of -10 points is virtually what the PL recommended. So we are in the same place ultimately whether they say they ignored it or not.
Says you…They ignored their suggestions then did what they recommended anyway*
I'm assuming that is why he has put pressure on them to release the minutes, unless I'm getting that mixed upSays you…
but you’d have to prove that to win an appeal. Where’s the evidence? (Not saying that’s not what happened of course).
