6 + 2 Point Deductions

Yes all the additional elements should be successfully argued against by competent defence teams.

I'm expecting four points back.

Really the premier league should've just done a -6 with the original breach (had no idea that was the apparent automatic points loss if you exceed FFP) and left it at that with the caveat punishment could've been worse.

We should not accept a 6 point deduction as if they’re doing us a favour. That’s still absolutely scandalous.

The problem with Burnham”s letter is its central point. That is that the premier league influenced the commissions decision. The problem being that the commission specifically said that they ignored the suggestions by the premier league.
Thats going to take some getting round in the appeal.
The PL formula came out to 10 points.. they recommend a 10 point deduction.. shouldn't it be up to them to prove they weren't influenced.. that will be very tough to do.

Another thing which has been really getting on my tits is that no action (in our case points) should have been taken/deducted until after the whole process is finished and that included the appeal process. All it does is bollox up all the teams at the bottom to know what they have to do to get safe. Imagine how they will feel if we were to suddenly to get some points back next feb or March or whatever. The whole things is codswallop. It is almost as if they already know we are going to lose the appeal and they just couldn't wait to hit us and hurt us. Keep the pressure on these corrupt helmets big time. No letting up no matter what.

Interesting at the point of appeal our points added back on. Does anyone know if that’s a specific rule in the PL handbook?

In any civil case (which this is comparable too) would see the sanctions lifted until the appeal is held.
Can only think it is probably seen to be more aligned to a criminal case than civil.

We have committed a football crime in those terms. You don't get released from jail whilst you appeal.

No goals in three halves since the deduction. Even if we get some or all points back the damage to the confidence is becoming apparent, and that's what could kill us.

Honestly, I'm not sure we're playing that much differently to what we have been doing most of the season. We're appalling to watch, can't pass a ball 5 yards, yet consistently carve out chances. The issue is we'd finally found a period of being able to take some of those chances.
