My own thinking is we will get back half at most - I did say at 1st in the 1st day or so i thought we may only get 2points back. But the further away we are above the bottom 3 when we get any back, the better.

Thinking the PL wont have the stomache to admit they were wrong and either not give us any of the points back or just suspend 4 or 5 for another year or two, to “help” us with our bad spending. And they wont be quick to sort it - could take another 2 or 3 months.

There needs to be a points deduction, otherwise there's no deterrent. However that needs to be proportionate to the overspend. I think 3 points would be fair, along with a tariff for future offenders where every 20 million that can't be properly accounted for equals 3 points, in effect the loss of a match. City have about £750 million of "improper" earnings from their fake sponsorship deals so that would be about 100 points.
It’s always been incredibly shaky legally. Any time any rule like this goes before I court it gets struck down as anti-competitive. As for the kangaroo court way in which ours has been run it wouldn’t stand up to even cursory legal scrutiny.
But this is Everton so we will presumably just take it and move on.
