Perhaps the only solution is to increase their pay to a point where they are not in fear of being rebuked?
TBH it’s disgusting the way Klopp et al get away with their constant moaning and chipping away.
I thought it was quite instructive that Dyche was guarded in his comments about the recent penalty incident …. and here was me thinking only captains could approach the ref and yet he was surrounded by 6-7 City players all yelling at him. Should have booked the lot and at best given them a corner

Think they get quite enough money tbh, especially since they turned professional, for me the refs have pre conceived ideas over who should be winning, look at Clattenburgh who pre season was collecting signed Liverpool shirts from Liverpool players, while holidaying. That season the Clattenburgh derby occurred, no one can tell me that ref on that occasion wasn't biased. I would like us to have refs from abroad, say from La Liga for instance, they would obviously have to have English in their vocabulary, I just think it would be a lot fairer, maybe trial it in pre season. Oh and give them our refs.

Sorry, all I heard two weeks ago was that we had no chance of getting points back because we were already clear without them. Which one is true?

Definitely think that's the truth, but can I just add, it's more like fear as well, the ref or var make a mistake against a sly six team and they are absolute pilloried for it, by the media, the managers concerned, Klopp especially and are then almost automatically rebuked and suspended from the prem next games by the authorities. There is definitely a fear factor as the so called "mistake" is repeated continually on tv until we are sick to the back teeth of it.

This is what I’ve said for years, make a mistake v wolves or Bournemouth and Everton these days and nobody cares, MOTD won’t even show some of the bad decisions v these sides, like the corner shirt pull v spurs, they don’t want a narrative that the big teams get help of refs.

Even this hand ball v city, is all about the rules are stupid and not Everton have be effected.

The rhodri hand ball, got more noise because it effected Liverpool’s chances of winning the league, I remember jim white on TalkSPORT going on about it and to be fair, Simon Jordon said to him this is about Everton and they could get relegated on the back of this. A decision v the 14 id quickly forgotten against the 6 and especially Liverpool goes on for days and weeks. Refs don’t want to be in the spotlight for the wrong reasons.

Spot on that mate, even Rhodri much later on admitted, he was amazed he got away with that one. But for that season when it was a two horse race between City and Liverpool, I honestly can't remember a single decision that went against either of them, referees were terrified of being the ref who cost City or Liverpool the title. Hate modern reffing and var has just made it worse still.

We wouldn’t be getting given an extra 10 points. We have literally had 10 points taken off us that we’ve won on the pitch. They couldn’t cry about it, it’s a completely unprecedented punishment, more than teams get for going into administration and out of business. It’s completely unreasonable.

Exactly, giving us some or all points back will not relegate anyone regardless. If they accumulate fewer points on the pitch than us then they belong beneath us.

A points deduction putting us below other teams would be a bonus for them but not something they’ve earned or deserved.

There is no sporting integrity issue returning points on appeal. The sport is what happens on the pitch and on the pitch we have won 26 points.

Yup, apparently the Onana hand ball was a travesty not because Everton were unjustly treated - again - but because Liverpool didn’t get a penalty against Arsenal and City getting this could decide the title.
