6 + 2 Point Deductions

Absolutely agree. There’s some on here hell bent on us taking our “medicine”.

Any other club and the media, fans and pundits are moaning 24/7 whereas we call it “kopite behaviour”

The “Everton way” attitude these days is to invite self torture and wallow in it…

Some of our fans are addicted to misery. Genuinely think they enjoy it. They’d be absolutely lost and wouldn’t know what to do with themselves if we ever became actually good and nothing was going or about to go wrong.

I don't think that's true at all, we've just been a badly run club for so long people have forgotten what it was like when we were a well run club.

Pre1992 thats for damn sure.

"In 1990, the managing director of London Weekend Television (LWT), Greg Dyke, met with the representatives of the "big five" football clubs in England (Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Everton and Arsenal) over a dinner."

The other clubs took advantage, we just, well, I dunno, we didnt.
I think you'd have to go pre-Heysel for us to be classed as well run.

And why have you got Ghandi? Please don't tell me you're trying for a non violent independence movement from the GOT

Well we kinda stagnated for around 30 years, now we are Wonga Loaned out of our minds and staring down the barrel of some crazy cowboys who are gonna sell advertising on the ball boys and have cheer leaders for throw ins.

I’m pretty sure he said “make the changes you want to see on the pitch, Sean.“

We had a similar amount of possession to Wolves and a similar number of shots to them (10 to their 12), but they were incredibly clinical and we weren't.

Either way I won't berate our players and our manager given all that they continue to give for this club of ours. In net terms we have spent almost nothing on transfers during these last couple of years and we are missing Doucoure desperately. Despite all this we are still only 2 points behind Chelsea, presuming that the absurdly disproportionate points deduction is rescinded.

I can't get to Selhurst Park on 4th Jan, but I shall be cheering the lads on at Goodison on 14th Jan - until I'm hoarse.

Onwards and upwards.

The 10 pt deduction worked in our favour initially as it created an "us v them" situation that drove us on. At some point that wears off and I think that's what we've seen over Christmas. I expect we'll get at least half the points back but we also need to get back to doing the basics properly. We simply weren't up for the game today.
We've lost to Spurs, City and away to Wolves... It took VAR to give Spurs and City a dig out.. we were abysmal V Wolves alright.

Has the protesting stopped now, or did we all just knock off for Christmas? There was nothing at the Man City game apart from their supporters singing cheats at us. I was reading an article the other day where apparently, a big corporate lawyer had looked at our case and stated he thought it was very doubtful we would get anything back regarding the 10 points as we were found guilty and had admitted guilt to the investigation.

Admitting we spent more than permitted doesn't mean we are guilty.. you must look at the circumstances.. Stadium spend and sanctions on a sponsor were 2 huge reasons.. you could admit killing someone but this doesn't mean you are guilty of murder..
