6 + 2 Point Deductions

Admitting we spent more than permitted doesn't mean we are guilty.. you must look at the circumstances.. Stadium spend and sanctions on a sponsor were 2 huge reasons.. you could admit killing someone but this doesn't mean you are guilty of murder..

We admitted guilt. At first we came out and sent we were innocent and then at the pre hearing we admitted guilt.

Only thing we can contest at the appeal is the punishment.

Everyday we see a new baseless guess on what we will or won't get back. None of us have an earthly clue on the motivations of the prem or the case we have provided. Though Andy Burnham has shed some light on how poorly the process has been conducted.
Which is why im convinced that a competent legal team should easily be able to mount a serious challenge.

The process is what we need to question. In a way we have to be grateful that the independent commision rejected the formula the Premier League suggested in August which strangely worked out to 10 points.

If the commision agreed to that the premier league could have put it in the rulebook and put it to a vote for the premier league to accept it.

They can take points off us, but they can't whitewash results from history.

Come the end of the season, the W/D/L columns of the table will show what's really what, therefore any clubs aggrieved at us getting points back won't have a leg to stand on.

Did we admit guilt or admit to an overspend... admitting to an overspend but giving legitimate reasons for it isn't the same as admitting guilt.

Spending, well interest payments, on BMD. We thought they were legit reasons, the PL pointed out they didnt agree. Or they changed their mind. Either way, once that was closed off, we said Fair Cop. £19.5 m overspend = 10 points all of a sudden. The process was hopelessly flawed.

Problem is that it is still the same people, i still think the club was unlucky first time and had parts that you could not plan. But we could havr done better hopefully they can get a better result this time

Same people or not, it looks like they totally messed up the first attempt, lets see if they get it right the 2nd time.

I mean im just basing it off everything I have read, I have no legal experience and quite frankly I dont have a clue.

That's why I think there's zero chance of all ten points being returned. Would be a laughing stock for premier league if their punishment was simply overturned and basically mean the end of FFP restrictions.

It's damaged limitation now and I still think it can be argued down to -6 and four points could still be incredibly important come the end of the season.
