Unfortunately yes Matt my good man.
IIRC Everton were only one of the other 14 teams who called for the scab 6 to be punished over the ESL plans, the majority of the rest had no desire to see them punished and there is a good reason why.
If you're the owner of a Brighton, Brentford, Palace, WHU etc and Liverpool, Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea all left to the super league in a huff - your share value would plummet overnight and your investment would be in flames.
Thats essentially why UEFA and PL bend over backwards for the elite clubs - it's all self interest. Now from a business perspective I understand that and tbf if we were in that position we would also be thinking with our wallets.
But speaking as a football fan and not a businessman with money tied up in the game, the whole thing is unfair, uncompetitive, unjust, corrupt and largely scripted to the point that a select few clubs have pretty much free reign to spend what they wish, pay whatever wages they want and get favourable decisions from the officials and VAR.
If we stay in the Prem my opinion on the league won't alter and if we ever drop out of it I certainly wouldn't lose any sleep over it.
