And I've said before... clubs have lost out on millions more by City winning the league by unfair means. Taking a champions league spot over other clubs.

Let's not get it wrong by saying just because it's the bottom of the league it's different. United, Chelsea, RS etc would've had extra titles on the board.

And it's not really the nub of the issue as the commission admitted we gained zero advantage on the field for being over £19.5mill over the loss threshold.

They also made note of the fact that we finished well below where we had budgeted for, blaming it on poor financial decisions, which at eth same time saying that the 'star player' who had this treatment wasn't allowed to play and we received no recourse. If they accept that he was our start player, they must surely accept that this had a negative effect on our performance and therefore capacity to earn performance bonus through league position.

That is a poor excuse for us overspending and having wages at 93% of our turnover.

We overspent and gambled and its now coming back to bite us on the arse.

Imagine we do get relegated this season and people moan about Chelsea and City and the Premier League decides to relegate them to the Championship so we have to compete with them to get promoted.

morally we couldn't have played him til he was cleared though

That wasn’t what was up for dispute, if you read the report it basically says it’s “an everyday work occurrence.”

Surely we could have sued the FA for the losses instead? Considering they are the ones that banned him despite him never being charged.

Also, if its the FA who suspended player X, than why have the FA not suspended 'number 5'?
