6 + 2 Point Deductions

Can't believe we're waiting for news of another sanction in a season where we've already had 10 points lifted off us by the PL.

Talk about putting the boot in whilst someone is down. Part of me wishes the entire PL would just collapse under the weight of it's own corruption.
Only a part of you wishes that?

I hope with my entire body & soul that the whole thing just combusts personally lol

True. But while the leagues themselves are more competitive, they’re also the ultimate closed shops. Even the most horribly owned and operated teams are never in jeopardy of losing their seat at the table. In fact, because of the way draft picks are allocated, the worse your team is, the more likely they are to improve quickly.
Yes they are closed shops and drafts exist (although outside basketball, draft position is much less likely to have an immediate impact and it's really just about scouting and asset management over the long term), but the point is that the spending limits are tied to either significantly higher fairness in how total revenues are distributed within the league, or the overspenders being given an option that doesn't include a sporting sanction and actually improves the financial position of the rest. The other restrictions on player movement also change the panorama, but fundamentally teams in the USA do have the ability to make investments in their playing squads, coaching staffs, and scouting operations, either with a much more level playing field or only financial sanctions as a result.

I suppose they both could technically be right in the end.

We could be charged, then cleared I suppose.

Although I don't think that is at all likely given how we were treated last time. If we are charged again, then I will be expecting nothing but another points deduction. I have no faith in the process.
Ha ha ha, I'll some of what you're on Tim, we are deader than corduroy!!

Beto is an upgrade on Maupey, Chermiti is a bit if a gamble for the future, we wont lose big bucks ion him bit may gain them. Unfortunately for us they tie up a chunk of spending for a while. We couldn't go not another season solely relying on DCLs fitness. We were lucky to escape the last two seasons.
Exactly. We needed a striker, two with the departure of Maupay. It was the biggest priority.

People are trying to rewrite history because DCLs been more or less fit all season. No one would have expected it and we would’ve been mad to rely on it. The jury’s out on Beto as he hasn’t splayed enough to settle but spending 25m (deferred) on what was probably expected to be our starting 9 most of the time was not unreasonable in the market for strikers.

Esk is stating as fact that we are PSR compliant and if we are charged today you’re right, he will still have the technical get out card that we could still be cleared.

But if it was certain we would be cleared we wouldn’t be charged, so if it’s uncertain he’s wrong to state it as a fact. Regardless of what get outs he might try if we’re charged today he’s absolutely had us over stating opinion as fact.
