And thereās those out there peddling the āEverton cheatedā nonsense where we effectively degraded the squad to build a stadium but managed our finances like drunks at a casino.Forest won't get 10 points for being (from what Ive read which is still not official) Ā£12.5mill over based purely on buying 28 players in a season.
Of course. But they were allowed. The club wasn't dragged over hot coals for the COVID losses, spending Ā£45mill on the Babysitter, and being awful in the transfer window....
It was pulled up for how the board/owner decided to fund and build a stadium.
(1) No doubt selling anyone decent at a price lower than their worth to a Sky6 club.Everton could have avoided the initial breach by selling a player or two (1) and replacing them with the most promising academy products, but decided to blag it out instead and got caught. Then in the following financial year, when they know they need to bring themselves back to the right side of the divide, they could have decided to (3) sell a few players in the last transfer window, but again - ridiculously - decided not to do that.
Who, apart from Everton, would pay good money for them.Everton are basically the guy who buys 20kg of luggage on a Ryan Air flight, then stands arguing the toss at check in because they are getting charged Ā£60 extra because their bag is 25kg. Then does exactly the same on the way home.
Just sell Michael Keane, Youseff Chermiti and Ben Godfrey, put an end to this nonsense.

The losses can't mainly be down to stadium costs though, it's just a contributor. It's undeniable we spent millions on rubbish and paid them millions.Possibly, but even that doesn't feel quite right with me considering our losses are mainly due to stadium costs.
Certainly a far more appropriate punishment than 10 points though
Playing decent against City and Spurs with two bad decisions against us was part of that slump, FGS. The only bad performance was against Wolves.we canāt score mate
and have had a slump which the bottom
ones took advantage off
Of course but it's a long time since we spent what I would call big in modern terms. The losses can't mainly be down to stadium costs though, it's just a contributor. It's undeniable we spent millions on rubbish and paid them millions.
I dont think legally he will be able to answer any questions.Apparently that crank Masters is facing a select committee tomorrow let's hope one of the MP's who wrote a letter gets to quiz him.
Independent regulation is coming anyway, I dont see the point in shooting ourselves in the foot to make "a point".Shane Uncle Uzzy is still not in the frame as if we weren't in such a perilous financial position I would love nothing more than to see the club refuse to fulfil any future fixture until the seasons end.
Whilst it would seal our relegation it would make a mockery of the league and undoubtedly lead to independent regulation which would be a nice parting middle finger to Masters and his kangaroo court.
I agree - have we still got some auditors? If they sign off on our capitalising these interest charges then it should be fairly straightforward- thatās if esk is correct and that this is what is tipping us into non-compliance.
