6 + 2 Point Deductions

Us withdrawing the appeal probably just comes down to us having far bigger problems then fighting for principle which is all this amounts to now. If we'd still be in the relegation dogfight we'd have almost certainly not given up on it. As things are now? We just have way bigger problems then crying over spilt milk.

….pragmatic move, it doesn’t mean we accept what happened or accept the whole mess of a process. Concentrate on no more points deductions and with Dyche at the helm, we’ll be fine.

As Dyche said;

"The Merseyside club could yet face a further points deduction in relation to interest costs associated with the building of the club's new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock, though there is no timescale for that issue to be resolved."

just great

Down to money mate.

We can`t catch Palace, so why waste all the that money on legal fees, just to get a point back.

For a change, it makes sense.

It also MIGHT help with regards the other ongoing case with regards the interest payments they are currently looking into, its doubtful, but it gives them a chance to just brush it under the carpet.

Quid pro quo.

That’s not the point. It sets a precedent that we’ll accept future punishments and believe the points deductions we’ve received are fair.
It doesn't do this at all but remember that we have actually breached the rules and have never denied that. Our appeal was always based on the punishment not fitting the crime not that we hadn't done anything wrong and they were probably going to focus on how we might get relegated and go bust because of it. Now that isn't happening what would the appeal actually be based on?
