63 years supporting Everton

Losing to Norwich at home last season 2 0 and them conceding 5 at the pit a week or so later was worse then the weekend. We were in the bottom 3 then.

Hell week, 2016.

Luckily scrape a draw home to Saints on the Saturday.

Totally humiliated at The Pit on the Wednesday.

Fail to show up in the semi final at Wembley until it was too late.

I know it is an unpopular opinion, but its only football.

More than 100K people have died from Covid and they would probably have preferred to watch our pathetic attempts against Fulham. Some perspective required.

And tonight’s performance has annoyed me more than anything(ok there have been many as bad)

From the 1st minute the writing was on the wall

Why are we so slow?
Why do we pass sideways/ backwards so much?
Why aren’t we comfortable with the ball?
Why do we make Fulham look like Brazil?
Why don’t we seem to care when I seem to more as a fan?

Im close to giving up
I'm just a few years behind you and most certainly share your pain and grief. I'm holding it together just about, with the promise of better things to come, maybe?
It's a dangerous thing when I start giving things "great thought" but we have so many things going for us at present, the coach, the makings of a basis for a good team and of course the new stadium, it's looking favourable.
A once in a generation thing that if squandered can see us disappear down the plug hole in double quick time!
Keep the Faith.

Over 60 years of Everton and yes there have been several times of thinking enough is enough. However the sheer joy when we win outweighs the disappointments. I’m proud to support a club that is more than just a football club.
Yes,Sunday was a disaster but the previous Wednesday was magnificent.I hope those who have never seen us win anything will do so because then the rubbish performances won’t mean as much.

I can take defeat if I feel the players have tried everything and left everything out on the pitch ,what affected me after Sunday was we didn’t have either performance or effort ,and from 30 seconds in I knew we were losing that game ,why didn’t the manager ?
That has scarred me that defeat absolutely left me bereft and now we’re like lambs to the slaughter with the next two games ,there has to be a severe upgrade in effort and determination from now on

A cry of despair from Tleafe and as another old codger I too cannot get my head
around the lack of pace and energy in the team.

How can you pick a team like the one Carlo did against Fulham? Did Carlo not see the Fulham
performance at Spurs where they could easily won. How can you play Holgate and Ben together
for the first time? How can you play 5 outfield players who are slow and need speed merchants around them?

I have said it many times on here and again here I go: managers have no more idea about football than me or Tleafe.
The one area where a manager stands out is in the transfer area because the market constantly values those signings
and good signings win trophies.
