So, they will lose a lot of money then? If they leave the club a lot worse then they leave it then no profit for them. I think they see us as someone else would see a house that they can flip. They are buying us on the cheap as Moshiri is desperate. They will finish the stadium and sell for a big profit. Forecasts are in as little as 5 years even a small premier league club will be worth well over a billion pounds
Yeah, this is the #1 reason I expect 777 to be a step up from Moshiri. 777 only gets something out of this if they make money, and they cant make that money if we are relegated. For all the sketchy stuff about them, they are much more motivated than the current buffoon.

I can’t trust / take seriously any fella who wears a baseball cap whilst wearing a suit

Problem is that with all the motivation in the world, its still far from certain that they'll be able to make a success of it, for a variety of reasons such of lack of expertise, lack of financial backing, infighting, bad luck etc. Moshiri/Usmanov had all the financial backing required but not the expertise and covid wasn't in their favour either. Whether 777 have the financial backing is very questionable, and whether they have the expertise is questionable also.

Yes, football club valuations will probably continue to rise, but so will the cost of maintaining them. The only way I see revenue for PL teams increasing significantly higher than currently is through (a) selling rights outside the UK in more countries than at the moment and (b) teams being allowed to sell their own individual viewing rights within the UK. But with the increased level of use of IPTV regardless of the efforts to shut them down, whether the increase in revenue will increase as expected is far from certain.

Same here I just think tit, could be just cultural variation but maybe I'm being casually racist!

What do American blues think, is suit and baseball cap acceptable?
I can't imagine any situation outside of their sporting use where baseball caps are acceptable, especially on older more generously proportioned lads who seem to have them jammed on their oversized noggins.

To be fair to them, they've brought in a number of people with football expertise

Thats fine, but its having a limited impact so far. I can't remember the specifics, but isn't their analytics expert's main experience with the likes of Huddersfield or similar?

He's only been with them a year, but he was head of data analysis at Leicester for 3 years beforehand (worth a read... https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/spo...alytics-guru-who-27727220#lnn2l976ev3f5n5swlb )

Their CEO of football (remember they're a business with all sorts of component parts) was chief strategy officer at City Football Group. Again, he's only been in the role a year or so.

Essentially what they're doing is new and unlikely to have paid off in terms of results on the pitch yet because, apart from anything, they've mostly bought struggling teams.

I'm not saying that what they're doing is brilliant or anything, just pointing out that the football side of things is relatively new and they are, to their credit, appointing football people to football decision-making posts, so think any criticism on this side of things is v premature.

The 777 appointed President of Genoa, Alberto Zangrillo was apparently Berlusconi's personal doctor for 30 years. Plenty of experience administering viagra at bunga bunga parties but I suppose anything's an upgrade on Kenwright.

I think that is unlikely to be a big deal - from my perspective analytics is just another tool for a modern football club and its impact is overstated.

The primary concern is obviously their ability to deliver a solid financial framework to enable the football club to progress on and off the field.

Everything I have read about them to date seems to call that into question, and yet they seem confident of a positive outcome. This makes me think there must be a big-hitter behind the scenes who doesn't want to go through the regulatory hoops but can be relied upon to pump investment in.
