Mate in absolute baffled by everyone losing their heads. We’re having to sell players just to survive as it is. Who knows what this lot will be like but we were only going one way with Moshiri anyway.

In fairness, this deal has been announce not long after the collapse of the MSP deal - seems a very short time for due diligence etc.

I dodgy as Mosh and 777 are, I would be amazed if there had been no due diligence AT ALL over the voracity of their “bid” before announcing.

In Esk's defence, it's not as if 666 Partners are not known cowboys. So, it's plausible they can't get the resources together. However, that largely depends on what Moshiri is asking. If reality has dawned for Farhad, perhaps 666 can make it happen. I'd be staggered if this fell apart after these announcements, but it's not beyond cowboys to fall off their horses, so Esk's fig-leaf of defiance should protect his modesty until this is confirmed one way or the other.

The statement itself was very telling & even quite candid, I thought. It was basically Moshiri openly admitting that he couldn't take us to the next level on his own..

Moshiri doesn't appear to have access to any money any more. Our squad was dismantled over the last couple of windows to recoup funds.

I don't know enough about these owners and if you are right, then I will hold my hands up and say it. My current position is I cannot possibly see a situation where new ownership does worse so I'm willing to wait and see. This is Everton, so the chances are things probably don't get much better, but I don't see them getting worse either.

Not being disrespectful mate, but I don't like this phrase and I don't think it really means anything. We should always wish and hope for better. I don't wish for a whole lot, and I definitely didn't wish Everton to turn into what it has under Moshiri. I thoroughly dislike my own club under the leadership of BK and FM.

Getting to 40 points and about 15th place is what I wish for. I believe it is absolutely possible under new ownership. And I believe we were heading for financial ruin, and inevitable relegation under Moshiri.

You're bang on here. We were on track for destruction under Moshiri and Kenwright, not saying that 777 will be better, maybe they won't be but they can hardly do much worse. The club was half an hour from relegation last season, which would've effectively killed the club, relegation under these lot probably wouldn't kill it. Not that it's a huge positive but it's something at least.

I can only see this as a good thing for Everton, even if it's just to get proper business people in important positions. I would doubt 777 have taken over a club as poorly run as us before, under Moshiri and Kenwright we are certainly the worst in England and one of the worst in the world, again literally anything is an improvement.

There’s a scenario where neither Moshiri or these Cowboys have to be the ones to own us though.

I understand that queues of billionaires aren’t all lining up to buy us.
But you can be unhappy with either Moshiri or these new chancers.

That's all fair, and people can feel whatever way they want to feel

I'm happy that Moshiri has left the club, that's my overriding emotion right now. It has been a horrible period for the club, and I just want to get back to actually wanting to watch us play football again because it's been a long time. I dread every game these days.

Time to give them a chance.

Like everyone else, I've read some not-so-great things about them.

The couple of things I keep returning to though are that all the clubs 777 have bought appear to be ones where they've been a bit of a mess both on and off the pitch, so judging them on how these clubs have done in terms of results on the pitch seems a bit premature.

Effectively, they need to be given a couple of years before we start to pass judgement on what sort of owners they are. That isn't easy because there's an awful lot of stuff out there which appears to be cause for concern, but we effectively have two objectives currently - deliver the stadium and stay in the Premier League. If we can achieve that, by the time the beginning of the 25/26 season rolls around, we should have a reasonably clear slate to be working from.

On the bright side, 777 will appoint a new chairman and CEO and there's little chance that they'll meddle in transfers or the decisions about who our next manager should be. That's where footballing decisions will hopefully be left to people whose expertise is, shockingly, football.
