I don’t think it’s likely at all that they said that to Dyche. At the moment they exert zero control over the club or him
So what did they say to him then, well done, doing a great job, keep up the good work, that 1 point out of 15 is awesome?

Every aspect of the club is on its ass and if they are having meetings with the staff already before they have even been ratified then i doubt it is to tell them all how well they are doing.

But he said previously we are nowhere near a deal with 777.
I think he is scrambing trying to regain some credibility when I think in reality he knows as little as the rest of us.
Its when he says an enormous task (assuming regulatory approval) of winning over the fan base, i dont think it is that hard get kenwright, prentice out of the club. Restructure the club and get ot moving in the same direction. Just that would give us a huge lift and show how serious 777 is

They FCA won’t risk their reputation by rubber stamping owners who fail the criteria , they shouldn’t get away with a blatantly leveraged purchase I suspect,
So at least there’s that, I suppose .
Sorry, that was kind of my point. I don’t think they are rubber stamping anything. I think what’s more likely is that anyone who has been blacklisted by the FCA, I.e been found guilty or not fit, will not be allowed to be and owner. That though only impacts those who have already fallen foul.

Extending the list of regulatory authorities, suspension from which will result in disqualification, to include the Charity Commission, FCA, Prudential Conduct Authority, HMRC and Gambling Commission

Think everyone really needs to calm down. Would help if the club actually said something.

Look at the narrative

We don’t want 777

777 give Everton money to stop them “going bust”
(Suddenly rumours of unpaid bills, unpaid staff, months behind on the stadium, we going in to administration)

Omg we need 777

It’s a very clever planted stories to turn The Devil in to God

I have absolutely no doubt that if 777 are approved as the new owners there will be huge changes at board level. I would guess that whatever about the standard of team we have that we will have a totally different club from a marketing and promotions point of view.
Bill Kenwright and nearly everyone associated with the old regime will be moved out.
If nothing else 777 will understand this will get them some credit with the fanbase.

The days of the Liverpool Blues may be upon us.

Roumors that their in bed with the saudi PIF apparently...like Chelsea and Newcastle
I read something somewhere on this the other week. I wonder if it'll become a bit Saudi pro league where PIF own 4 or 5 clubs or something. They have one who they pump a shed load in too and filter it down to others lower down the league they go

The really frustrating thing , and we will probably never get to the bottom of it ,is that the group who are respected for genuinely improving the sporting clubs they become associated who specialise in this area , have allegedly been blackballed by this very shady group of lenders whereas this collection of dubious financial conmen appear to have succeeded?
The whole process positively reeks of corruption somewhere or at least of interests whose concerns do not include the well being of Everton football club.
It’s all very dispiriting.

This. It’s not like we’re being run like a model of good practice at the moment. 777 can do some very basic things that would instantly get them some credibility with fans.
