What is their plan?

Isn't that the question we all need answering before we asses whether this is good or bad for Everton

Don't know about "better"

But the guess is that Moshiri drops his asking price to £200-300mill in desperation...which then opens the flood gates IMO.
Even if did open the floodgates, who are these gates now open to ?

It now invites more Bill Kenwrights to get involved. The opportunity to make money from minimal investment because they cannot afford anything else.

I doubt that any mega rich investor who had a serious interest in buying Everton was standing back in a gentlemanly way to let 777 through first.

Well, they have assets but not that much actual cash. Like, that could describe me. So if they are a front for others, the first question is why? It is very very difficult to leverage a buyout for a club with heavens only knows what our debts are anyrate.

So, if Moshiri writes off the non stadium debt, (really?), funds are provided to finish BMD, they gamble on selling a PL club with BMD in 2 years time.

Not exactly low risk is it?

Also, its a very noisy "takeover". They are rare. #A Moshiri.

i hope someone else mate is waiting to buy us and it falls through. i just know it would massively be wrong for the club

It reminds me, in a reverse way, of the early days of the BMD thread. A few of us started to see the dots being joined. Thats all smoke now, thanks to Vlad, but for the life of me, I just cant see how this 777 things stacks up.

don’t they have to show the prem that they can fund everything to run a club properly?

how can they do that when they don’t have it? dodgy as

They do indeed. But unless they are going to liquidate their shares in ABC clubs into £££, or, they are a front, (again, why?), I just dont get it. I can grasp Moshiri looking for cash to finalise the ground, then sell up, with perhaps a diluted shareholding by flogging 20% or whatever to 777. In fact, it makes some sense.

But it is the ultimate in kicking the can down the road. Pay Day loan territory.

which isn’t what we need for the club!

Not so sure. 777 20%, Moshiri 75%, PL, BMD completed.

Moshiri gets out, largely intact, 777 get a short term, (or longer if they stay on) kicker, we get proper owners who "only" have to swallow the interest on the loans.

777 offered the price Moshiri was willing to accept.

That’s it.

That says nothing of their competence. It arguably suggests the opposite, if less dubious prospective buyers were not interested.

No idea about all this financial crap. Layman terms, how much has Mosh/uncle Usi invested and what would it take to for Mosh to walk away without loosing money. It was understood that he was a financial guru when he came in so one would be surprised if he sold for a loss unless finances are that dire.
