Fair. Was thinking players.
Woke up to a message saying this was all agreed. (complete sale, agreed last Friday) Not done and signed, but agreed. Press statement prepped as is a document with responses to media questions.
Not from a person who is prone to sensationaliat attention seeking , but they do have a solid connection inside HQ.
Couple of things:
1) I have my doubts. if it was all agreed last Friday, something would surely have leaked by now?
2) Why would they do it now? There's still a (very slim) chance of a points deduction?
3) These guys are so bad, I can't see how they'd pass the fit and proper test. I do wonder if the motivation for the 777 fella getting voted onto the top table of the European Club Association was purely to give him an air of respectability.
You never know how things are going to work out, but based on what we know so far this woukd be an utter disaster.
I saw an article last week where he said "if we carry on the way we have over previous years and went down." It could lead to administration. We must've cut the wage bill down from the 90 odd percent of our turnover plus player sales where £60 odd million has been brought in from academy players is good for the accounts i believe. I just dont want kenwrights mates calling in their debt knowing we couldnt pay and taking £200m of the club in shares instead. This may be fronted by chaiman bill who im sure is keeping his mates well informed.I see that Paul Brown, who said MSP deal was going to collapse before any other journalists, has said there’s a real chance of administration in the future. Are we really that close to disaster?
Halfway down. What's this about the fella getting put in the ECA?
Good summary.Apologies if already posted..... 777 Portfolio
Genoa 19th in the league, out of 20 teams (In relegation zone)
Sevilla 18th out of 20 (In relegation zone)
Standard Liege 14th out of 16 (In relegation zone)
Red Star 10th out of 18
Vasco de Gama 18th out of 20 teams (In relegation zone)
Melbourne Victory 11th of 12 teams
Early days but a common theme....
A pity Everton don't communicate the mandatory simple facts of their business performance in a simple manner. We're well clear of FFP/STCC.
Doesn't change the fact we don't have a magic money tree planted at Finch Farm anymore. (well, we do.... It's just that Usmanov can no longer water it)
Superb, -" The BK Everton Way!"dyche likes working with a small squad though, 15 players is ideal
we can then auction the remaining 3 spots on the bench to the fans every week and make further revenue that way
Just out of interest, and not defending them at all, what positions were those clubs when they took them over?Apologies if already posted..... 777 Portfolio

That's where he's very sneaky. He didn't say that.Hopefully this won't be another legendary " Everton Way", as BK, has often eulogised, about how other clubs in the EPL, ask him for advice on business matters related to football.
Interesting to read thatThat's where he's very sneaky. He didn't say that.
"a few days ago, a board member from another club, a very famous club said to me: Whenever we have a problem we ask ourselves, what would Everton do? Because they always get it right"
Naturally, we all laughed at BK chatting garbage, again. But he was as slippery as ever. It was non-specific. He's a very canny operator when it comes to the art of the quotable line. Still, I had my doubts it actually happened.
Couple of months back I was listening to a podcast with Pat Nevin were he was mainly talking about his new book but as they do, the topic went all over the place. He got on to some UEFA wide meeting about club community projects and non-football activities. He said Everton are regarded as the 'Gold Standard, second to none' or words to that effect and other clubs always shower Everton with justified praise.
It's quite possible Kenwright didn't lie at all, he just shared an anecdote from a completely unrelated subject and applied it to the question on the skillet of his board of directors when it comes to running a Premier League football club.
Honest to god, his deciet and storytelling would make a tory cabinet minister blush.
Disgusting pig.
That post you’re quoting was after 1-2 games of each teams season so didn’t really give the full picture. Since then this is where the clubs standGood summary.
Did these clubs ever undertake due diligence on them, and if so, where these clubs presented with " cooked books"?
Staggering every club is performing so poorly.
Hopefully this won't be another legendary " Everton Way", as BK, has often eulogised, about how other clubs in the EPL, ask him for advice on business matters related to football.
Hopefully Everton won'tever be in partnership with 777.
UTFTs!

No plans to let Saudi Arabian clubs into Champions League, insists ECA chair
Nasser al-Khelaifi said he ‘does not see’ a pathway for clubs from the big-spending Saudi Pro League to compete in the Champions Leaguewww.google.com
Well, exactly. Letting another fox into the henhouse.Id say that's quite significant.
It says everything about football that someone who is at the forefront of a company that has ran a number of clubs into the ground, gets onto the top table.
