My immediate short term concern is whether this is a leveraged buyout or not. If it is, will the debt be further heaped on the club. Will there be interest to pay?

I suppose there’s a potential positive. Commercial (and other) revenue has grown so little that literally anyone can surely do a better job of it? Is it actually possible to do a worse job?
and presumably, this deal gets the stadium done?

At the moment, that Bloomberg report is the only source saying this is close. Hopefully it’s someone leaking something and getting their facts wrong. Wouldn’t rule out someone for Moshiri or Kenwright putting this out there so fans think we’re better off with them than some of the possible alternatives.

I am just hoping this is all like the Moshri situation 7 years ago. There was loads of news articles and people saying we were close to a takeover from Americans, but out of no where moshri rocked up. I’m hoping the same now and it’s the Chinese consortium or a rich prince. These 777 guys seem like certain doom.

If they had a track record of coming in and improving clubs then I'd agree, but they haven't.

Have to hope you're right D because I'm sure that if 777 get their dirty mitt's on Everton we are finished.

Maybe wrong but investors can't leverage buyouts in the league anymore. They can only leverage 65% of the clubs value.

Moshiri isn't getting his money back in that sort of deal.

So anything it would be an investment and shareholder percentage.

These cats don't have the money. But like I've said before... they'll find a way and have club's around top European leagues to get something done.

Crooks always find a way

Forgive me if I’m talking complete crap. But could they not take loans from banks and use their assets as security.
