Politics is the reason why we lost our USM deals. With them in pay the past 12-24 months we likely wouldn't have broken PSR/FFP.

Politics is the reason why we're missing out on a £200m+ naming rights deal for the new stadium.

Politics is the reason why Moshiri's access to money has dried up and needs to sell the club (in which the only known interested party are the corrupt bandits known as 777).
Utter nonsense yet again.
The primary reasons why now naming rights deal has yet been secured are...
a. the club sub-contracted an allegedly brilliant negotiator to scour the US for cash-rich naming rights partners - that was at least three years ago and he's produced diddley-squat.
b. there is highly unlikely to be anybody within the club with the contacts or expertise to construct and 'sell' a naming rights deal... don't forget we've been constantly lied to - ad nauseum - about 'impending finance arrangements' for the stadium,
c. It's not easy to secure massive naming rights deals - ask Tottenham with their shiny new gin palace in London how they're doing with naming the new WHL ??

We had a naming rights deal lined up with USM.

Usmanov paid us £30m just to be front of a none existent queue.

Can't help but feel someone has Esk, Joshimer and Paul Brown on a pay roll. I don't mind that if it's a well meaning, competent and wealthy perspective new owner but I can't imagine someone associating with/ using those lads and using those sorts of tactics has mega bucks or are the most business savvy. Probably said consortium with yer man Harris that probably only has a few hundred million to play with.

It also doesn't sit right with me that if that is the case then they are happy to try and sabotage the deal and put us into further danger to pick us up for cheaper/ a pittance from Moshiri. There's been a few pages calling these guys out already. It's all very obvious and coordinated.

Guess we'll see how it all plays out soon. Hoping there's another big bidder on the horizon with cash and competence.

As Ive said mate, if it was just those, I would feel the same way, but its worldwide news organisations all over the world.

We even have, checks notes, InsuranceBusiness.com calling them out here, before that some very reputable orgs in America.

As @micknick said, if it walks like a duck.................

no that’s stopped the usm mate

but the rest is on moshiri

That wasn't 'sold' to him - Moshiri was Chairman of USM at the time and £30m was - at the time and probably still is - chicken feed to USM.

So you dont believe that USM were going to be our stadium naming rights partner had Ukraine not happened ?

This was Usmanov quoted around the time of the £30m naming rights option deal:

"They are going to build a new stadium. Why not the USM Arena?” he said in an interview in The Financial Times. “I am thinking about my investment in this club.”

As usual world events have scuppered us. If people know their history its not the first time.

Oh I agree that 777 are not good mate. I'm in no way saying those guys are wrong on that. Just saying it's very obvious there's a few angles at play and I think one of them is the one I described. Personally I wouldn't want Harris and his crowd either. As I said we shall see soon. I've seen talk of a few potential happenings at the end of the month. Let's see.

I mean 777 clearly are corrupt and terrify me, but I have to agree it seems like a witch-hunt from these journalists, they’re absolutely obsessed with dragging 777 through the mud. No smoke without fire I guess though.

I think "they" and many of us are adopting a "anybody but them" attitude.
