While MSP might technically be able to take control, do they actually want to? That's a lot of debt to take on...
Yeah the issue then moves from 777 having to repay MSP to MSP having to repay 777.

Unless there is some arrangement to be had with MSP as majority shareholder and 777 as minority but that’s possibly far fetched. Although if 777 can’t get PL approved as owners a minority stake might be the best they can do to get a PL club attached to their portfolio.

The problem for 777 appears to be that since they have borrowed the money they have lent to Everton , at some point they will have to repay it with the incumbent interest . This is the case regardless of whether they turn it into equity, they will still personally owe (A-Cap?) that amount.
How can they square that particular circle without loading the debt onto Everton ( which is what the PL won’t allow ) ?

They could lump all that debt on the stadium?

There are rules regarding leveraged debt on takeovers, but nothing stopping them getting wonga loans AFTER the takeover.

Yeah
That’s my thinking too.
We will be more debt ridden than ever.
Plus ticket prices close to London levels and player sales all to help repay their outlay.

Maybe the premier league are waiting on the answer "why would you buy a business with million pounds worth of losses a month? And That's why it's taking so long

Yeah, that’s not sounding good really.
Their plan will be to come in, cut costs massively by selling players and then hope for a miracle. Mind you, cutting costs, I mean we’ve got to at some point right?
Yes
But cutting costs means depleting the squad further , I don’t think that bodes well considering our current position.
