7th Place - Yes or No

Do you want Everton to finish 7th and go to the Europa Conference League?

We can finish higher than 7th with the teams we have to play. I expect them to drop points at Utd today

Another reason I don’t think 7th place is worth it: Europa League might help you sign better players. Conference League, not a chance.

If players want to sign for us, they will sign for us if we are in Europa league or not, all this stuff about players wont sign because we are in Europa is a nothing story, we have players sign when we are not in Europa etc, I want euro place whatever it is and i will be so disappointed if we dont get it from were we have been and after all the mess ups we have had-I predicted 7th with 6th at best [may have actually predicted 6th] before the season and a few weeks ago one of them should have been at worst for me

I honestly just don't understand the debate at all. Not wanting us to come 7th basically involves actively wanting us to lose games. It's a bizarre mindset that I don't think i'll ever be able to reconcile in my head.

I want us to win all our games and finish in the top 6 to avoid this competition.

The way the remaining fixtures stack up for ourselves and the teams around us, 7th is achievable. Finishing above Arsenal and Tottenham and getting SOME form of European fixtures next year, is preferable to finishing below them and not being involved in Europe at all. This isn't a strong vote for the specific Conference for which we'd qualify by coming 7th, more of an assessment of overall benefit.

a) Some of the youngsters in France and Holland that we are hopefully scouting and preparing bids for will be more interested in us if we finish above Arsenal and Tottenham than if we finish below them.

b) more prize money for 7th than there is for 8th or 9th.

c) Some of these European games will be against minnows, and the league format will make some of them dead rubbers as well, allowing us to give game time to a couple of fringe players here and there.

d) Two of my brothers-in-law are Gooners, as are many of my wife's family. Another brother-in-law is a Spurs fan who believes that Gomes made a meal of the Son challenge. I would be gratified to finish above both of those spivvy cockney clubs.

If Carlo can get the lads proper motivated and up for for these last 4 games 6th spot is defo up for grabs. 3 out of the 4 are very winnable and that might even be enough for 6th but i really worry about our home games especially against lower teams. Perhaps with the importance of them it is time for Carlo to say bollox to it and set them up as if we were playing away. Who cares about being defensive if it can get us in the Europa League next season. I would take 7th aswell though tbh as i would be gutted to come out of this season with nothing after all the wasted opportunities and Europe is an achievement no matter what tier.
