Aaron Lennon ( On Loan January 2015 )

How much would you pay for Lennon in the Summer

  • Up to the rumoured 6 or 7 million - worth every penny

  • No more than 5 million - he's OK, but not worth any more

  • No more than 3 million - he's got no end product ffs

  • Wouldn't take him on a free, he's badly gash

  • Stop asking me questions and stick the grill on

If he still has the pace he had a couple of years ago give him a few games and he will do a good enough job.

I remember when he used to play under 'arry' he could beat any FB for pace and dink a ball in for crouch, except for skill hes the nearest we could get on loan to deulofeu without taking to big a risk on another youngster

Let's bullet point it for the soccer mongs on here:

  1. We need a winger, he's a winger.
  2. We need a winger who is direct and with pace, he's got this.
  3. The move could freshen him up like a change can to us humanoids.
  4. He should stop the likes of Naismith and Barklang being played on the wing.
  5. He is not costing a fee and if all the above doesn't come up trumps then we send him back.

6. He's not Shaun Maloney.
7. He's not Charles N'Zogbia.

I can't understand why this is such a disaster? Christ, imagine what it would be like on here if we bought, say, Mario Balotelli for £16m

It's not a disaster. He's on loan, and if he's rubbish we can send him back.

It's just some people don't think he will be a good signing, mainly because they're basing their opinion on the last 10 years of him at Spurs, and in particular, the last 4 years.

Good signing on loan, rapid, makes things happen and a big point to prove. Start the lad in the derby with Mirallas on the other flank, get at them from the off.

This is the only season he hasn't been a regular for them. He's actually been a consistent player for them year in year out, in a team competing at mainly the same level as us
