People are entitled to have an opinion about a player. Nobody is slagging him off before a ball is kicked; they're judging him on what they've seen him do for the last 10 years elsewhere.
Of course he'll have our support when he pulls on an EFC shirt, but it's just silly to totally ignore the potential flaws.
If he was as great as some people are making him out to be, he'd be playing week in, week out at Spurs, and wouldn't be going out on loan.
There's a reason why he's ended up on loan at us, and it isn't a positive reason no matter how people want to spin it. The challenge is for him to revitalise his career playing for us.
