McGeady has everything Lennon has; pace. Except McGeady can defend, cross and beat a man sometimes. Lennon cannot. Lennon can at least shoot though to be fair, and I expect his passing to be an upgrade on McGeady.

Really disappointed in this, McGeady is clearly a better player than him, and I'm not sure he's an upgrade on Atsu. Hope I'm proved wrong, but don't expect this to change anything.

I would agree McGeady is the better footballer.......but we need the electrifying pace that Lennon can bring and which Atsu might have been providing by now happen he had stayed injury free.

I think it is a decent short term stopgap and if Lennon thrives here under a new manager and new challenge we could well have the answer to our right wing problem.

As for McGeady, I woukd like to see him tried in a more central role.

We are devoid of someone capable of playing clever little passes into the danger zone and he has shown some astuteness in that department.

I reckon Lennon is going to turn out to be such a good signing for us, however, atsu will be back from the ACON soon and if anyone has been watching them he has been outstanding, it's going to be hard picking a winger out of mirallas, atsu and Lennon now, although I can see Lennon playing premier league and atsu and mcgeady saved for Europa as Lennon is cup tied! Anyway, all of this is dependent on martinez playing players in their positions though..

I didn't know he had been playing out there.

Thought he was still injured.

I've watched him in the ANC and he's been very good. I watched him at The World Cup too, where he also did well.

I've watched him in The Premier League where the standard is arguably higher than both and the physicality is much greater and he's looked like a child playing a man's game. I'm not convinced in the slightest that we should be expecting big things from Atsu.

Lennon is a proven Premier League winger who has had a disappointing 18 months or so. Quick and direct, on loan with an option to buy in a position we have been woefully inadequate in this season. Good business IMO. Atsu? If he plays more than half a dozen games for us between now and the end of the season I'll be surprised.

Good signing for me. We needed a winger and he's gonna be playing for a future.

Think people are giving him a hard time. The lad helped Spurs into Europe and been to a couple of World Cups, knows the premiership, and can do damage.

If you were expecting more or a player that's looks good on footy manager, then you'll be disappointed.

From my perspective we've now got 4 good capable wingers with pace. Good business.
