Aaron Lennon ( On Loan January 2015 )

How much would you pay for Lennon in the Summer

  • Up to the rumoured 6 or 7 million - worth every penny

  • No more than 5 million - he's OK, but not worth any more

  • No more than 3 million - he's got no end product ffs

  • Wouldn't take him on a free, he's badly gash

  • Stop asking me questions and stick the grill on

Its a hunch yeah. But the lad is a cockney, came through Spurs academy and up until poch took over he was first team, now finding himself frozen out. surely it is not too farfetched to think he wants to be at Spurs back home rather than be up in Liverpool, hell he looked over joyed to be here when he signed didn't he!

That all being said i am not against signing him for the right sort of money but i feel that any signing of Lennon would be as a replacement for mirallas and as fistrating as he is, Kev is a much better player. In an ideal world i'd like us look for another Kev rather than fall back on Lennon because he is already here.
he's from leeds?

I can't see why people assume McGeady is going to go.

He's far more use to us here as the money we'd get for him would be buttons anyway.

I think McGeady is half decent, he's no world beater but he's been involved in most of our best performances this year and if he was fit now, I'd have him in.

exactly this, we'd get about £2m tops. what good will that do to us? can't build a squad by selling off all the fringe players for pittance.

LOL FFS Christopher.

sell mcgeady back to celtic for 5 mill buy lennon with the proceeds, rangers then get jealous, so...sell naismith to rangers for 25 mill to re-build squad

easy

All the papers reckon he wants to stay here now because he said "I'm enjoying my time here and have done since I arrived, long may it continue" in his post match interview.

For how much? We keep spending a few million here and there on average players. We won't win things with them and can't afford the better players as a consequence.
I would spend up to 5 million on him.
I think given a run in the team and a bit of confidence he will be a really good player.

5 million I wouldn't. At 28, we know what he provides with little scope for improvement. I would prefer to let him, Atsu and #7 go and sign a gun for at least double that.

I stand corrected then. always thought he was a spurs product.

But still he will be settled in london so my thought still stands.
his family still live in leeds, and he's a northern lad. I don't think it'd be any issue with him moving over here, considering he rejected london clubs to come here

given the choice of teams he had to go for id say he joined us because we were head and shoulders above the rest.

I know nothing about lennon though, which considering my many years following spurs i am surprised at that :p

I guess this would be his last contract in terms of real dough so it would be a no from me. He would block a younger player from coming through and Lennon has had his fair share of injury's. I think he would be better to suited to team whom need to play twice a week next season which will not be us.
