He's had what 5 managers in the last 2 years. No wonder he has been erratic. No idea what he has left but is better than what we have. He has steel from what i recall. We do need some legit steel.

As long as we don't overpay I would be ok with the move.

He hasn't been erratic. Just not good. The rest of Watford are erratic and sometimes they win more but not really because of Doucoure.

I think a lot of people see what Doucoure could be and ignore that he isn't actually that.

Doucoure would improve our midfield. Will all depend on what his cost is. He's 27 as well. In his prime.

Do you have the stats handy from his "better" seasons at Watford? I wonder if those correlate with what you're saying.

It's hard to gauge fully just using goals and assists without chances created too, but anyway.

2019-20 - 4 goals, 2 assists from 39 apps all comps
2018-19 - 5 goals, 6 assists from 40 apps all comps
2017-18 - 7 goals, 4 assists from 39 apps all comps

Think it's clear that Ancelotti has had a good chance to look at the squad.. realised we have some good young players with good potential (Holgate, Branthwaite, Gordon, Kean, DCL, Gibson - Even Iwobi to some extent!)

It's our supposed experienced players that are letting us down. Hence we are going for players in the 26-30 bracket like Doucoure, who I think would be fantastic for us by the way.

If we can get some of our current players in that age bracket punted at the same time we would have an excellent window.

I think he’s an improvement on what we have.

Ultimately, if it’s under £20m I’m saying go for it, but if it’sinstead of Allan I’ll be annoyed.

I’m glad in the sense that Carlo at the very least realized our midfield is utter dogturd and these targets prove it. I’ll try to remain cautiously optimistic, but none of our targets have wowed me.
