2020/21 Abdoulaye Doucouré

I think it's more aimed at his defending for their goal, he was beaten so easily by their fullback.

He's been a good signing all in, brings a lot of energy to the midfield. Would like to see more goals from him.
Personally think even that is a bit harsh, there were prob 5 or 6 players could have done better to defend that goal. In that instance he was chasing down the loose ball but their attacker was running onto it, he was always going to get caught flat footed once he committed to getting the ball rather than letting the wolves player reach it and then try to defend the next phase. No doubt he would have done it differently in hindsight but there were still 10 players behind him watching that develop

Personally think he's struggling from a crisis of identity in that midfield. So many different partners that make him have to play too many different ways.

Spot on that, has to do all the pressing, all the covering, and be the CM who gets himself into the box. We'll see much more consistency from him once we either get a proper sitter in that midfield, or someone who has a similar engine to him to lighten the load.

He was ok yesterday but he takes full blame for the goal for me, He got bamboozled by such a simple play, 9 times out of 10 players go for the byline cross.

He's a unit, always going to get skinned by a wingback in that position, need to be looking at who should have been covering there.

Clutching at straws here (or maybe just making it up as I go along, much like the Premier League), but Doucoure should miss the Villa game which has now been postponed through no fault of ours. That was our next scheduled league fixture. Therefore he should be free to play against Leicester.
Wasn't one of his better performances on Tuesday but we're really going to miss his running and application.

Sometimes he's absolutely crap on the ball, but his workrate, effort and positioning are second to none.

We'll miss him massively Wednesday as we have no one else like him.

Dont think he is crap on the ball, think sometimes the odd few passes just lack care or he gets sloppy. Be interesting to see his pass percentage.

He will be a big miss as he slots in at full back and CB so often during a game. Something Gomes and Davies are dreadful at, but will need to do.
