He’s not been at his best yet. I think that’s a confidence thing, but he still adds energy, strength and go-go gadget legs to our midfield and he can score

Well Brands must have scouted him. Unless you take the view he would randomly sign someone based on what a manager who had been sacked months before said mate.

Whats more likely, as he says, is that he works alongside managers to recruit players. Which is how it should be.
