I think him and Allan could both be given that label. Looking forward to the latter getting back for again as we look so much better with him in the side.

I still maintain that we have Dacoure because Silva wanted him. I'm still waiting for the young talent from Europe that Brands was going to recruit. Yes we have one,but I mean Prem ready. Given the time Brands has been here his record is unacceptable.

But even if it was true, you cant blame Brands for others things if it were. You either accept he takes responsibility for sign off on acquisitions or you dont.
I think you're confusing Silva being a factor, to Silva being the reason.

And if you overlook the fact we bid on Dacoure when Silva was manager and wanted him (so not discovered by Brands)
James and Allan both worked with Ancelotti before so obviously came for him.
Brands signs Digne,Mina And Iwobi. None of whom are unknowns and not particularly young.
Iwobi on his best day average and wildly overpriced.
Other than that Brands is a hit.
So a club wants a player (Doucoure) across multiple managers and one DoF but it’s somehow getting chalked up to a Silva signing?
You think Everton would sign a player because an ex-manager wants him?
If you think “the club wanted him” then you’re basically saying Brands wanted him you clown.
Doucoure may have been scouted because Silva liked him... but clearly the scouting and background work done by Brands and co still identified him as a player that would also work in the role that Carlo believed he needed him in for. Its not like Silva took all the paperwork and analysis with him when he left!
