Can't recall many cases of stress fractures (Reidy in 1986 - any others?) when we were successful and playing 60 games a season. Hard to see how you get a stress fracture after playing 10 competitive games in the last 5 months (and having not played for a fortnight before the game on Sunday).

Real bad news, was so important for him and Allan to stay fit for the majority of the season - drop off is huge. Delph (thankfully) and Gomes also injured with no return dates, so we’ve got Gbamin and Davies left to step in.

Gbamin just started training again recently so not sure if he’ll be match fit and is a massive unknown anyway. Looks like it could be Davies and Allan for a run of games…

With DCL and Ritchie out as well the team missing those three key players looks really lacking quality.

We have this every season. There’s always a huge spate of long term injuries. When it happens season after season stretching over a decade then it is something wrong at the club.

There needs to be a complete root and branch review of everything at the club, Foot wear, pitches, training methods, nutrition, medical department. Everything.

Other teams in the league go whole seasons not carrying many injuries at all. I don’t know any other player who has broken a metatarsal for ages and we have two in the first few games of this season!

Well this is clearly not true.

Richarlison has been out a month. DCL over a month and not close to returning. Delph is never fit. Gomes has been out a month. Doucoure is facing several months out. Coleman missed a month. Gbamin was out 2 years.

Not sure what your definition of short term is but it's definitely not the same as mine.

In the same way that your definition of 6-7 weeks is 'several months ? Check out the injury lists of other Prem teams, in as much depth as you've checked out Evertons, and come back to us without an agenda.

I think we can confirm it - were officially cursed.

The injury hoodoo has never really gone away for us has it - unreal how many we get every single season with out fail, and it's always to key/well performing players.
