We never make an actual investment into the midfield. We uncover a gem like Gana then the manager throws their hands up and says ‘job done.’ We can’t rely on one guy to carry the donkeys. Like I said- we need an investment there. A real one

Under Moshiri we’ve bought in:

Gueye Schendierlin Siggurdson Klaasenn Gomes Gbamin Delph Allan James Docuoure VDB Dele all at big prices. It’s utterly ridiculous that we’ve been playing Tom Davies throughout this period regularly before this season and we often have to play a midfield two because w Edmonton have three competent players. Utterly ridiculous. We’ve invested loads into the midfield but it’s been mostly on utter dross who haven’t stayed fit and aren’t motivated to play for us.

If he's properly fit, yeah.

I don't see him as any kind of game-changer that I'd be rushing back, though. I just want him in for Wolves because they're quite slow in centre midfield, and that's the next game where I think we have to go all out for three points.

I agree I probably wouldn’t rush him back for City but I think we need him against Spurs, we need something out of that Game and we are better with Doucoure.

Agree and of the central midfielders you have listed there only two or three have the required mobility for this league. We haven't been buying the right profile, pace, power and dynamism comes above every other skill in a midfielder in this league.

Definitely wouldn't rush him back for the City game. Even with him playing, we are still not going to be a match for City in midfield. I'd be looking more at getting him on for the last 20 minutes against Boreham Wood and if all goes smoothly get hm in against Spurs.
I wouldn't 'rush' him back for any game, but if he's actually fit i'd definitely be playing him against City. He's only missed 3 games, he shouldn't need to be eased back in as long as he's properly recovered from the injury itself.
