This is what I hope the plan is, even if it's a relatively meagre few million.
Not really. We were hanging around the Champions League places for most of the season two years ago playing him. We dropped five on West Brom, and looked good doing it, starting Keane, Gomes and Doucoure. We need better players than him if we want to be mid table.
You imagine wrong. It will 100% be Maupay. Will be really important for us on Sunday tbh as I imagine Gray will be upfront. Will be Doucs job to get forward on the end of the big diagonals we’ll be launching.

A team can have a couple of weak links and compensate with tactics. It's when there are several weak links that there's no longer any covering that up. If Doucoure is one of the first names on the team sheet, we're in trouble. If he's one of the parts that gets swapped in and out to suit tactics and rotation needs, that's fine.
It wouldn’t cost much to replace his quality and I’m sure there are plenty of free transfers who could do a similar job on half the wages,Extending makes sense, as his wages would still be cheaper than paying actual money for a replacement of a similar quality.
Scores the winner on Sunday too.
So this summer we should only buy players or attract players that will keep us 17th. Not sure Brighton and Brentford have had that Memo.I’m not sure people have watched recent games, especially the ones we have done well in.
I’m the state we are, his energy is paramount and to be totally honest if he was a better player he wouldn’t be here.
And some will say ‘he’s not quality we should have because we won the league and cup a few times in the last century….’
Well suck it up, we’re rubbish and in our current state his performances often result in points or a point.
Simply don't think that's true. How many premier league level midfielders who score goals are floating round for free?It wouldn’t cost much to replace his quality and I’m sure there are plenty of free transfers who could do a similar job on half the wages,

Prior to dyche coming he’d got 4 goals in 70 games. So I’m not sure you’d class him as a goal scoring midfielder. He’s now under dyche basically playing off the striker and as a split striker. Stands the reason he’s likely to get more goals. As playing in a midfield two he doesn’t get in the team imo.Simply don't think that's true. He's played most of his Everton career in a deeper role in a 3, under Carlo he pretty much exclusively sat and covered the space left by James. When he's played as the furthest forward midfielder he's tended to score goals. Is he top class? No. He can barely pass a ball. But he does offer something that virtually none of our other players do. I'd also take him all day over sick note Ox, Lingard who's had 6 decent months his whole career, and the less said about Barkley the better, his best days are long behind him.Prior to dyche coming he’d got 4 goals in 70 games. And we should be looking for a lot better to the play then off the striker role. Oxlade chamberlain, Ross Barkley and Jessie lingard, while I’m no real fan of them all. But all 3 would over more than doucoure in the role he’s playing
Footballs not for you if you think them 3 wouldn’t offer more than doucoure next season playing behind the striker. I wouldn’t take them 3 either. We need to stop getting rid of every single player who offers us something in the final third, it's why we're in this mess.
