Lets hope he doesnt go missing now for a while. Doesnt change the fact we're a poor side because weve bought players like him. Today was one of those days he has now and then. Can give him credit for today but cant blow smoke up his arse as the bigger picture is we need better midfielders.

….he has many detractors but he’s never going to be the super talented no10 some posters expect. Just accept he’s not going to deliver terrific passes or be good in possession but he’ll run all day for the cause and is effective in his own way.

Playing matters to him, whether it’s getting the vital block in that melee or scoring a valuable goal.

Accept him for what he is, one of the first names on the team sheet.

He is one you wouldn't want to play against. Gets through a lot of work, and has a nack of getting goals, which we have been lacking. Very physical, and covers ground well.

I can see why Dyche has him in.

Well he made a tit out of me today lol after that first poor 10 minutes I was calling him out - then he pops up with that opening goal and he transformed..

Becoming a bit of a 'confidence' player really isn't he? and one that leans heavily on his instincts - the kinda thing that seems to develop much later in the career of a footballer if they didn't already have it from a young age..

a box to box guy with a high work rate is always a good thing to have. It would be nice if he had more finesse but there should be other players in the side with those qualities. Even if we got the best distributor in the division playing at 10 we’d want a guy like this running through walls for 90 minutes

In a team with no goals in it he’s really important. He’s a bit like Cahill was in that advanced midfield role - not a dribbler/silky/creative but a hard worker, makes runs beyond the ball and gets in the box and when he gets in there has an eye for goal.

He’s effective the way Dyche is playing him and with the other options we have.

As unorthodox as he is, he's probably the player most likely to make something happen. Especially true while McNeil is still getting back to full fitness and with Danjuma struggling to get going.

Im gona wait and see if he can string a few performances together first as he has previous of only turning up once half a dozen games. Mind you the whole team have that issue.
Real party pooper comment i know as he was good today.

Clumsily effective. If he was better at the things he is terrible at and still kept up this recent scoring record he wouldn’t be a Watford/Everton player. Not sure what we’d look like if he was missing for any length of time.
They 3 games after he was harshly sent off against Spurs last year was an example. We missed him massively!

He’s been such a key player since Dyche arrived and he’s done exceptionally well.

We all have an ideology what we want an Everton player to look like and for most, Doucoure won’t fit that model but a big, strong, leggy athlete like Doucoure can cause a lot of problems and he’s doing exactly that.

He played a massive part keeping us up last year and he’s currently in the middle of doing so again this season.

If Barry Horne’s still getting songs sung about 20 years after he stopped playing and his Everton career is being looked back at through rose tainted glasses then Doucoure deserves exactly the same treatment.

7 goals in 20 under Dyche isn’t it? Or something like that anyway.

Some very big goals as well.

he scored in the 6th minute mate

If he is going to play that role, he has to score and assist. By those standards he has been poor this season, but today he was excellent and unlucky not to have two great goals. More of that DOUCS.
