Doesn't half remind me of Paulo Wanchope with his gangly ways and not knowing which shin the ball is going to bounce off. Great energy though and our top marksman in recent months.

Niasse in the 2017/18 season was as effective as Doucoure has been for us since Dyche came in, at the specific role of playing up front and bundling the ball into the net using whatever part of his body he could. I’m not sure what else Doucoure offers us on the pitch, but that’s not knocking the job he’s actually doing. He has a knack for being in the right place at the right time, as Niasse did. He can’t control or pass a football, like Niasse. That’s all I’m saying.

He scored a fair few important goals. Some of them very nice striker’s finishes, some of them scruffy bundles over the line. Similar to Doucoure. I don’t see why that’s controversial.

Quite....he's a very effective behind the striker, got a knack of finding space in the box.

We have - ironically - a lot of attacking options now.

Danjuma, DCL, Chermiti, all to come in to a starting place if need be. Its a long season and they'll get their chances...hopefully we see rotation against Ville...and hopefully we get through it without injuries...beaten or otherwise.

It's not controversial. I just don't remember Niasse contributing as much as Doucoure has recently. But my memory is hazy

Definitely got more options up top now...I wouldnt be surprised to see him go with Chermiti & Lewin up top against Villa.
