Dyche has not sussed out what to do with the absence of Doucoure. It is like when he is out we become blunt
Say what you want about his international choice (as you have been repeatedly whilst everyone disagrees) but Doucoure’s character has been exceptional his whole time with us and actually I believe his not wanting to go to AFCON but wanting to stay here and fight, the team he feels at home with and pay back the faith Dyche and us fans have shown in him shows he’s not selfish rather than going to a tournament under no pressure to perform because they’re expected to lose every game.
The only few seconds he got called out for mentality was when he sat on a ball during pre match training under Lampard when Lampard had already told him he wasn’t playing and we were losing every week and he was frustrated he couldn’t help us. In hindsight, we should all understand how frustrating it was and seeing as how fit and ready he was to be called back by Dyche as soon as he arrived, it’s clear he kept himself in top condition for that period too.
None of us on this forum give a toss about international football with a big portion of scousers being indifferent or actively against England in tournaments and enjoying them being knocked out as well so people not caring about ‘these countries’ as you said in your other post should read ‘all countries’ don’t imply some warped logic thinking it’s just African football nations, it’s all.
Up to Dyche to find ways to create chances without Doucoure. Some of his worst tactical decisions have been the systems he has came up with without Doucoure.
We can't just be so reliant on one player, and we shouldn't end up moving lots of players around due to 1 injury.
