Accepting what we've become

I was reading the transfer thread this morning and one thing strikes me every single time I venture in there is the level of delusion as to our current standing and what we can expect as a club.

The number of times we turn our noses up at potential signings because they supposedly aren't good enough for us, people speculating about why we haven't gone for this player or that player, when realistically they're way out of our reach.

We are a club that for the next few years will be threatened with relegation and it doesn't matter how much you bang on about our history it doesn't make us an attractive proposition in the present. If you accept where we currently are and the grind that it's going to be over the next few years to get out of it then you'll feel much better, don't have an aneurysm when Antonio or Adams get mentioned, they're currently our level both ability wise and financially.

Calm down, accept our current situation and lower your expectations and things won't seem quite so bleak.
And the truth shall set you free...

Is true we do have to accept what is happening to the club at this time but you say accept antonio and adams for ability and finacially. What would be the cost to bring them here first then what would they want to get paid here aswell. Players like this have got us in this mess by overpaying on transfer fees and giving them far to much money and then we cant get rid of them.

Evertonians are the most knowledgable fans out there and by some distance the staunchest. The owners might not act like it but fans know what NSNO is about and hold anyone associated with our great institution accountable for it. Even though our position hasn’t been good this club is a giant and has a gravity that any good player knows. Playing in front of 40,000 home fans and packed away ends for one of the game’s grand old clubs is an achievement for their CV. We can’t lose that ambition it must burn through all those that represent the club including the people bringing new players to the club, making sure they have the guts and class to play in front of expectant Evertonians. NSNO. 1=20. Throw them all in the Mersey. What’s our name?

The Fans get the club that they deserve

We are just a make the numbers up club. We will never lift a league trophy in the next 50 years (that's being optimistic) but we support and it's pointless task.

I feel like this is where you went wrong, it’s full of absolute dangers in there.
