Needs teaching a lesson then Goat.

I really hope we don't sell him on the cheap just because he's sulking. £25m plus sell on clause. Either that or tell Ralfie that he can have him plus £25m extra for Upamecano.

The problem is it seems like he only wants to go to 1 place, which makes it harder for us to get the most from the deal, I think theres more to this than meets the eye, theres something we arent seeing.

Its just sadly 1 of those things, we have a largely unproven young player that doesnt want to play for us, sadly we have to maximise our return and put it down as an error.

Think the club went to pot a lot last season, few of the young lads saying the club didnt check on them when on loan, I can only imagine the players not in the frame for the squad got pushed out and felt angry. Hopefully we learn from it and it highlights why Silva doesnt want a big squad to deal with.

The lad looks a talent, so its a shame that he feels like he needs to move on, but once a player wants away, like really wants away, you punt them. All players are different, I mean we kept Stones, maybe Stones wasnt sulking, maybe Stones accepted that he wouldnt be able to move just yet, I can only assume Lookman isnt willing to wait and see.

Hes never seemed settled here, rumours of homesickness, rumours that he was still staying in a hotel 18months after his move, all very convenient rumours I suppose, but Brands and Silva have both stated they want him to stay and both have said he will very much be part of the first team squad and whats he doing? Posted pictures of planes on his Insta.

If he’s going then it needs to be £20m+ and a good sell on fee clause negotiated. We can’t have them making a massive profit on him in a couple of years time if he’s a success with us getting nothing. If they won’t agree to it then he doesn’t go and he can train with the u-23’s for 3 years.

Lad is very talented and is one of the brightest stars for the England youth sides. No way we should be bullied into letting him go for a poor deal.

Their current transfer record is 24m, at the very least I would be making them break that or keep the little judas in the U23s for 3 years.
There not that big a club really I'm guessing, if he was that good I'm sure a bigger club with more coin would of stepped in by now.
We're getting all wound up about losing a player who is only good enough for a relitavly small club.

For me hes very unproven.

Done very little in this league, went over to Germany and he scored a good few goals, but its only a 3 month period, so very unproven, hence why theres very little interest currently.

I honestly get what people see in him, I think hes got a lot of potential, but im honestly not that bothered to lose him, I mean sure it would have been nice to see if the boy grew and im sure we will get regular updates on his progress, but for now, meh.

The bolded bit is why you should be bothered. We shouldn’t be in the business of selling high potential when we have it. That’s the sort we need to keep and accumulate if we’re going to get better. Why do you think Leipzig want him. Literally for that reason. It’s their model and it’s been disruptive in Germany.

The worst part is he is a homegrown player so in 3 years if he does really well somebody else in the Premier League will be buying him for twice as much making RBL a huge profit and he will be a player we have to go up against

These things happen though and it is rare, this is probably the first time we have sold a player we collectively wanted to keep to a team that isn't much bigger than us.

It has happened to City with Sancho, continues to happen to Barcelona with their youngsters, United lost their best two prospecto Pogba and Ravel Morrison a few years ago.

Ensure we get a good few, a big sell on clause and then reinvest in a better young player.
