Yet 3 managers saw fit not to give him game time? So somethings wrong he’s either not very good in reality or his attitude stinks either way he was dropped and couldn’t get in the team

3 managers played snides (and others) every week when he was not very good and his attitude stank . And all 3 couldnt keep their jobs!!!!!

But that's our fault for thinking that. It's a total pipe dream. Players are generally just passing through. Gone are the days where a player signs for you and stays forever. It happens to every club, I reckon almost every club's set of fans could put together a list of 11 players past and present and think "if only". Its crap of course it is but its modern football.

In regards to Lukaku and Stones, I didn't have an issue.

Barkley - a s***show from start to finish. Wasn't offered a new contract early enough, actually got better in that first season under Koeman but Moonhead was clearly a tosser. That being said it was clear from early last summer he wanted out. 50/50.

Lookman - while I appreciate there's no point in keeping an unhappy player and I do not blame Brands and Silva, both of them have publicly said they want to keep Lookman. He is exactly the type of player we should be keeping. I don't think it's as much that Lookman hates Everton, in that he just prefers Leipzig, but it's still tough to take in the sense that, really, he should not be being sold.

So far, Moshiri's tenure has been a constant 'two steps forward, one step back'. I'm hoping the people he now has in place will change that, but deals such as this don't help, not one bit.

Done nothing for our club while only wanting away last season...no idea why he put on a pedestal. He's a want away brat based on him forcing a loan to Germany.

He can do one. If he puts his head down and puts in a performance I will support him. Otherwise GTF.

It was Fat Sam's decision to loan him out in January.

Fat Sam wanted him to go to Derby and experience the 'rough and tumble' of the Championship, a league he had already played in. Lookman wanted to go to Leipzig, a team challenging for the Champions League spots in Germany.

'Want away brat', though.

Why does everyone think he's off now? Are we still going off that picture with two planes?

Local press in Germany reporting it, plus the Indy (I think Jack Pitt-Brooke, who is a reliable journo) were claiming Leipzig are confident this third bid will get him.

apart from him clearly pushing for a move, as our manager and DOF have said he wants him to stay

That doesn't mean he thinks he's too good for us, though.

Did Lukaku think he was too good for Chelsea when he left them to rejoin us in 2014 after impressing on loan?

It's likely that Lookman just enjoyed his time at Leipzig and feels he can grow more as a player there than he can here. It's a shame we seemingly haven't been able to change his mind.

handful of appearances for us and thinks hes too good for us, not many have gone on to do well after thinking the same thing.

ideally well replace him though, lozano?

So what do you think is better, getting slagged off by half of Liverpool every week or making your way at Leipzig?

??? Never got his chance at everton. Looking at duds like dcl playing week in week out in his position. A talent like that should have been given game time. Bought. Came on first match. Scored. Never seen again. Typical everton. A real shame that we are selling a big big talent
He got a couple of games after that goal and did nothing and then was never seen again. Which would have been understandable if the people in his position were doing well. They weren't and he should have gotten another go at some point. Who knows how he will turn out but it is disappointing that it has ended this way

hes not going to marry you mate, never really get people who fawn over players who leave us! better to be positive about the ones who are committed to the cause

to be fair he impressed me more in those minutes than bolasie, but then he didnt tackle himself every time he got the ball so its no great achievement

I agree he looked bright but ultimately produced nothing. It didn't warrant benching him forever but maybe his attitude did. The way he has handled himself since January suggests it might have.

And I will never get grown men who hurl abuse at other (younger) adults for what is essentially switching jobs? Or calling them spoilt brats because they want the opportunity to further their careers?

It is not acceptable to say he's a very good prospect and we should not be selling him?

I understand perfectly the reasons why we are, we probably have a price and if that is met then he can go, but it's a shame.

i agree to an extent, if i was a footballer id 100% rather play on the continent.

the press treatment etc of young black footballers is discraceful here

still stand by the statement that not many young players have gone on to thrive away from goodison
