Ademola Lookman

I don't understand why we're letting Leipzig away with such a public tapping up....

Exactly, these German clubs have obviously decided that tapping up English youngers , developing them and selling them is the way to go. Reece oxford, the striker from RS there are many more examples of German clubs trying to loan kids and tap them up when they are there and try and unsettle players to reduce the fee. I’d tell RBL to do one and tell lookman that the only way he is moving is if they pay the fee we want. I’d reporr RBL and would make everyone aware of how we are handling it so it doesn’t happen again. If they want him fine, pay the correct fee, don’t loan him , blow smoke up his arse then tryget him to force a move .

Don't get how anyone can call this lad a rat. He got shafted by Koeman, shafted by Sam, and then finds himself behind the likes of Bolassie. I don't blame the lad.

Have to say, I hate watching bolasie play , now imagine that you’re actually better than him and you still have to watch him try doing tornado turns towards the corner flag every week.

people keep saying he's been treated badly by the previous managers etc ( I agree I mean picking bolasie over lookman should be a criminal offence )

but we've got a new manager now, a manager who has publically stated he wants him to stay, a manager who clearly doesn't rate bolasie so would have plenty of chances to shine

should stop playing the victim and take your chance you've been offered

And I will never get grown men who hurl abuse at other (younger) adults for what is essentially switching jobs? Or calling them spoilt brats because they want the opportunity to further their careers?

It is not acceptable to say he's a very good prospect and we should not be selling him?

I understand perfectly the reasons why we are, we probably have a price and if that is met then he can go, but it's a shame.

Call y'self an Evertonian?

I vote that "he was never given a chance" should replace "there is a player in there somewhere" as the standard agreed formula for an expression of regret at the failure of never was/never will be players. Hopefully we won't have to use it too often once we have binned most of the dross.

I wouldn't say there's necessarily been tapping up. Unless promising them a fair chance of playing football is considered tapping up. Quite a clever move by the Germans to be fair. They know English clubs pay ridiculous fees, and that England are producing good quality players now. So it's a win for them and for the players.

But if you look at it from his side it's different. He's obviously been given the feeling that he's not valued here, and had the opposite at Leipzig. So IMHO it's understandable he wants to go even if he's had positive messages from Silva/Brands. The damage was done already.

It is tapping up if they tell him they want him and tell him to throw his toys out of the pram to get a reduced fee. Which would be quite easy to do when he’s there on loan. Publicly speaking about itvand saying he is coming Etc... we offered Watford 12m compo for Silva and we didn’t even take him, he didn’t resign , got sacked and we are still in crap apparently , so Why can RBL act like this and get their own way with no come back?
