At least he's not done a Barkley and gone into hiding when he's been trying to force a move. Don't think he coward showed his face at Goodison once last season and he was our player for 60% of the season.

Barkley had a massive hamstring injury, the surgery for which left a long scar down the back of his leg. He couldn't play.

To accuse him of hiding is nonsense.

I don't think it is because your reasoning requires you to believe the absolute worst in a person you've never even met

Mine doesn't require to believe the best in him. Doing what he's supposed to do hardly makes him a saint, it just makes him a professional, which most footballers are

The evidence points more strongly to my stance than yours does

It really, really doesn’t.

You’re saying he’s not playing due to injury. I’m saying if that’s the case why wasn’t he in the squad for Bournemouth? You say it’s because he as rested for tonight. I say why rest him completely for a game vs Rotherham?

Every press conference he is brought up and Silva says he wants to keep him but I get no confidence that’s what the club really care about. If you can’t see this kid is clearly sulking over this RBL stuff then I can’t help you.

That Rangnick is a proper whopper but it’s obvious Lookman is trying to get into their ears to get them to keep pursuing. Plus if the club really aren’t open to sell him we would likely accuse them of tapping up IMO.

And better substantiated by the fact he has done much the same to agitate for his previous loan move.

There's a very weird personality cult around a player who would, quite clearly, like to be anywhere but at Everton.

And will undoubtedly do the same to Leipzig, if another club that takes his fancy comes along.

Once a snake always a snake.

Until about octobe/november. He was fit for weeks and didn't play, All our managers at the time were saying there was an issue with him, a it turned out he didn't want to play as he was already on his way to the rent boys.

And he subsequently didn't pass a medical at Chelsea.

He wasn't fit, he then had major surgery. We lost an exceptional player, who contributed far more than poor woe-is-me Ademoliver Twist

..I just think there’s a contradiction in your argument. Barkley and Lukaku being young players wanting to leave was all the fault of the club but Lookman also a young player wanting to leave you castigate.
Lukaku wanting to leave after handing a ton of goals over four seasons and Barkley hounded out the door by Koeman cant be compared with some no mark from Charlton who played a handful of games for Everton and then got a titty-lip because he cant go back to Germany to resume his super-sub role.

Age can be used as an excuse to mollycoddle players beyond what is considered reasonable. I think Allardyce did not handle him, and his initial loan request well at all, and poor form on that unquestionably, and Silva was left to pick up the pieces which it seems he has tried hard to do. If amends have to be made from Everton's side, it seems they have tried hard to make them.

The lad is a professional footballer whom I assume is very well paid relative to his peers of the same age and ability. He got a loan move, did well, but his contractual obligations are to us until we decide otherwise.

Most folk can see when "injuries" are code for something else and, when added to the concerns about his attitude, really it doesn't take Einstein to work out what is going on. There is fault on both sides but the club are under new management and it seems to me there is a genuine desire to keep him here which doesn't appear to be reciprocated. Until he gets his apparent wish though, his focus should be on Everton - his employer, but it seems his mind is anywhere but.

Seems like there is a good chance he will leave now and at the price quoted, I think its best for all concerned.

For me I would like him to stay, with the right handling he will turn out to be right on. Methinks Silva will do that.

But if he has made his mind up then he will have to wait for an offer to be made which will suit the club. For example Barkley got away for buttons.
