Ademola Lookman

I am hoping he gets a start today and this leads to a run of them. I was gonna put him in my weekender, but I think he will be sub again. From what I have seen of him he is good with the ball and I believe he has an end product to offer. Another poster said that he tends to shoot at the keeper, but that is still more clinical than Theo, who often fails to finish chances. Give Walcott a few bench games and see how Lookman can do given a bigger chance. I believe a lot of people would be shocked at the impact he could have. But as another poster said, why change a team that is doing well?

I would go with that.

I am on the pro Walcott side of the fence but I think Lookman has deserved a start for a couple of weeks now.

I agree , keeping players happy is a huge part of management and at this stage lookman wouldn’t be out of order if he started to get a bit peed off as he has played well in his last few outings, he has played well when Walcott has been wasting chances etc and not been on it. Walcott by comparison must know he hasn’t been at it but has still been given 4-5 games to okay himself back into form but hasn’t, if he was dropped I could see him accepting that lookman deserves his chance and he has had his and now has to wait until his chance arrives again.

The way he played whn he camo on last week, was hefirst time ive seen himactuallywork hard and track back.iom he has started playing for the first time

Do no harm to give him a start this week at Theo’s expense. It would kil two birds with one stone, on one hand it gives Ademola a chance at 90 minutes against a team who we “”should” be dominating and against whom he should see plenty of the ball. On the other hand it lets Theo know that if he doesn’t sharpen up in front of goal, there is a ready made replacement waiting in the wings.

I’d have Lookman left and Bernard right.

Digne is good enough to link with most players whereas Walcott and Coleman don’t work well together at all. Having Bernard cutting in and creating space for Coleman in theory should work.
